6/16

Woo, only one out of the money, and a stakes win!

Wins:
Hemisphere (2yo, Octagonal) in a NW3.

Fairy Cat (Alley Cat) in the Vagrancy Handicap. To think I was a bit disappointed that she didn’t sell earlier this year. She’s made over $100k since then, so yay.

Place:
Highland Star (Starzen) in the Springfield Stakes. One of a Kind (No Duplicate) was 4th.

Bad day. The only remarkable result is from She’s Outlawed, a 2yo filly by NCh. Robin Hood (S). She finished 3rd/11 in a NW3. The rest wasn’t terrible but I was hoping for better.

Sent out 14 with a few highlights

Lohan (who I had on the sale page, Congrats Starfish hope he does well) won his race breaking his maiden. He had been leased last yr and left to stew, coming back with more interest in running.

Lady Ella (All Jazzed Up) was 6th in her 5.0f NW1 Allowance for 2yo F.
National Dream (Gunningdownromance) was 5th in his 7.0f NW3 Allowance for 2yo.
Acid Jazz (Jazz It Up) was 9th in his 9.0f Allowance for 3yo.
Maasai Miss (Dark Continent) was 4th in her 6.0f Maiden for 2yo F.
I’m A Diva (Strider) had a good run for 3rd in the 9.0f Ungr. Purple Violet Stakes for 3yo F. I think this one is a sprinter.
Kowhai (Candidate) won her 8th stakes of the year with a win in the 8.0f Ungr. Springfield Stakes for 3yo. Nice lead up race to the Mother Goose Stakes.
Sekhmet (Alley Cat) won the 12.0f Gr. 1 King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes for 3yo+. This is her second stakes win adding to her Crown Oaks from earlier in the year.
Gal From Seattle (Seattle Slew) was 3rd in the same.
Nefertari (King David) was 5th in the same.
When You Wish (As You Wish) became my second stakes winning 2yo for the year with a win in the 7.0f Gr. 1 Dewhurst Stakes for 2yo.
Tenebreux (Giant’s Causeway) was 9th in the same.

Faaaaantastic day for us! Sent 5 out, 4 wins and a 2nd!

Hubble (Point Given) Won his allowance, this makes 2 wins in a row. He has definitely earned his $5000 claiming price!

Nobleton (Point Given) also WON his allowance. He’s liking the equipment change!

Blowing Kisses (What’s Your Point) ran 2nd in her 2yo NW3 allowance. This gal is always on the board~!

Olivine (As You Wish) I ran in a $15,000 claimer, nobody wanted him and he brought home a win. That makes 2 wins in a row!

Sunday Paper (Sunday Silence) continues to excel winning the [i[Doncaster Cup in england. This makes 5 stakes wins in a row for this boy, half way to stud qualification… Fingers crossed!

We had one of the best days we’ve had in a long, long while.  We sent 8 out:

2YO homebred Queen Catarina (x King David) won her NW1, her second win in three starts.  This girl is shaping up to be something special, and her dam is proving to be a consistant producer as well.  It’s a win-win for us.

2YO homebred Coquette (x Bellagio) also had her second win today from 3 starts, only hers was in a NW3.  I am very, very excited to see where her career goes from here.

2YO Ducati (x Magic Cross) won his NW3 as well.  This colt has won twice and showed twice from four starts - with one of the shows being at the stakes level.  These are definitely my top 3 2YOs so far, and I’m excited to have so much promise this year.  Normally my 2YOs are all duds.  ::)

4YO homebred Notmyfirstrodeo won his NW2 after recently switching to steeplechasing.  It was clearly a wise choice to switch him over, even though he didn’t do terrible on the flat.

3YO leased mare Never Doubt (x No Duplicate) ran 2nd in her first steeplechase.  This is especially important as it is her first time ever on the board, so I’m probably more excited about this result that I should be.

2YO Nicole’s Majic (x A.P. Indy) ran second - her second placing from four starts.  I’m still trying to figure out how to get her to be consistant, but at least the talent is there.

3YO homebred Imprimis (x King David) ran 3rd in his SC open allowance.  This boy loves to be on the board, but has refused to ever enter the winner’s circle.

And the “worst” finish of the day goes to our 3YO homebred Girlfight (x Nightfight), who ran 4th in the Purple Violet Stakes.  She has recently turned over a new leaf after some equipment changes - apparently she is VERY sensitive to having the right combination - one of which is the lack of a whip.  Entering her in a stakes race was a complete snap decision, and a 4th place finish is still promising in my book.

No one came in any less than 4th.  I don’t think I could tell you the last time this has happened!

Good day here too with 9 out and everyone bringing home some money

Ganymede (Strider 3yo) 1st in a NW3. He’s now into OA company. Peppermint Cream (Rahy 3yo) was 3rd in the same race.

In The Loop (As You Wish 3yo) 1st in a NW1. Second career win after being claimed from Stillwater recently.

Mischief In Motion (Tiznow 4yo) 2nd in her claimer with Columbus (Double Cross 6yo) in 5th. Both stay with us.

Raising Keene (Harvard Bound 2yo) 3rd in her NW1. Two 3rds from two starts so far.

Hoorah (Stars n Stripes 3yo) 3rd in her maiden. Only her third start and her best placing so far.

Send Me Flowers (Sadlers Wells 4yo) 4th in the Vagrancy Handicap Grade 2. Nice to see she still retains some ability.

Baringa (Sadlers Wells 4yo) 2nd in the Doncaster Cup Grade 3. Consistent as ever

Not spectacular, but the highlight of the day was definitely Chance of Rain’s stakes win, which made her High Chance’s 3rd millionaire to date.
