I’ve noticed the same, speed figures for 3yo and up are a lot lower than they used to be. However, 2yo seem to be not that far behind the older horses. Seems there’s less of a gap between 2-3yo than there used to be.
Too early for me to say if better/worse for my stable as yet.
I’ve never had nice enough horses to enter the Kentucky Derby, but decided to throw a horse in this year for fun. I’m actually pretty happy with the 4th place! Causeway Hill also got his first stakes win at 7y/o. Pretty good day!

Don’t worry, I’ve also had that happen to me. At least it’s still nice to see the horse doing well for someone else. Even if they didn’t want to run in your barn.
