5/18

Well sent out 9 and had a few decent results no wins though but not a total loss

[color=blue]Set it Off 3yo (night fight) seems to have 3 rd itis running the same in the Preakness today as the derby , but he’s racking up stakes placing s so that’s fine for now

[color=blue]Bold Vigil whom I recently c.aimed for $10k in England ran 4th in the st James stakes his 7 th race ever and first stakes , not too bad considering the competition

Tomahawks my best SC horse who loves this length race just isn’t firing and he’s had ,lads of time off since last season came in 5th in the ascot gold cup

[color=blue]Betyouwishyouhad (stressed) ran 5th in an NW-2
[color=blue]My guardian Angel (I’m your angel) also ran 5th in an NW-2

[color=red]Got goosed, isawmawkissinsanta,daydream believer, and [color=blue]secretly a zombie just didn’t fire today.

AWESOME day for us, sent 10 out and all but 1 ran 3rd or better!

Wins
[color=blue]Elgin (3yo, AP Indy) in an open allowance. About time, he has been lackluster this season!

[color=red]Heavens To Betsy (3yo, High Chances) in an open allowance, she has been rocking it lately. May be time to try a stakes

[color=blue]Burn It Down (4yo, Whats Your POint) in an open SC allowance. Glad to see him running better again

[color=blue]War Axe (3yo, Rock Of Gibralter) in an open allowance, his first win! yay!

Places
[color=red]Miss Joe (2yo, I’m Your Angel) her first ever start, and a 2nd! I’ll take it, have high hopes for this filly

[color=red]Oh Artemis (3yo, Moonover Boy) in a NW3 allowance. Her best placing so far, hopefully we’ve found the winning equipment combo

[color=blue]Overqualified (3yo, High Chances) in a maiden. His best placing so far, hopefully he can keep it up

Shows
[color=blue]Jetplane (2yo, Whats Your Point) in his first ever start. Love this boys bloodlines

[color=blue]Sunday Paper (5yo, Sunday Silence) in the Ascot Gold Cup which completed his final requirement for studification making him STUD QUALIFIED! Woo-hoo! He’ll likely retire to stud next season and stand as the one of only 2 studs by Sunday Silence, the other stud being Deep Impact who was just recently added to the game.

Quite possibly our worst day this year, if you don’t count the day of one 2yo going out and getting a 7th :confused:

5(2)-0-2-0-1(1)

[color=green]Ch. Son of the Beach was 10th out of 10 in the ascot gold cup and promptly retired, after such a rest if he wasn’t going to do something today then he never would

[color=green]Spring Zeal was 4th in the Gr1. Prince of Wales stakes, considering his last two outing set speed records I was a little disappointed, but he brought home enough money to keep us going

[color=blue]HeadOverHeels was 2nd/6 in an OA. Still fiddling with his equips yet

[color=green]Ch. St Elmo’s Fire ran in his 42nd race, a SC NW3 lol and earned his Ch with a 2nd placing. Poor bugger keeps trying but i think his best year was as a 2yr old

[color=blue]Fine Cotton struggled home in a maiden for 10th/11. He won’t race on dirt again

Congratulations  :slight_smile: I have a couple of ladies to send over when they retire

Ditto!

Three out today, only one worth a mention.

[color=blue]Raptus (Mr. Townsend) was 2/10 in the Sir Barton Stakes. Second stakes place in a row for this guy. Good boy.

Wow, congrats! I really like Sunday Silence.

Good day for us, too.

4yo [color=red]Cabernet is enjoying her English campaign, this time she was 1st/6 in a NW3.

3yo [color=red]Ch. She’s Outlawed was 2nd/7 in open allowance.

4yo [color=blue]Ch. Al Mundhir was 9th/11 in Prince of Wales Stakes, running whipless, which made him lazy perhaps.

Yay, congrats on Sunday Paper being studified!

Congratulations on Sunday Paper  :slight_smile:

A good day here too, six out and everyone in the money.

[color=blue]Sionnach won the St James’ Palace Stakes and earned his Ch. title.

[color=blue]Quarren was 2nd in the Prince of Wales Stakes.

[color=red]Sleep Easy 2nd in her OA.

[color=blue]Dark Spell 2nd in his NW1.

[color=red]Bold Lilly and [color=red]Fabulous Fairy 2nd and 3rd in their NW1 for 2yo.

[color=red]Ready to Pounce was 4/10 in the Sir Barton Stakes, in her 2nd race after I claimed her for 5k.

Congrats on Sunday Paper! I’m still trying to get my first stallion qualified. Maybe someday! That’s quite a feat.

We had a good day overall:
16(5) - 7(2) - 0 - 3(2) - 1

WINS

[color=blue]Laudri (3yo, Point Given) won his NW3, after a less thrilling stakes run last time out. The boy can run.

[color=red]Ch. Oh So Proud (5yo, Highland Pride) won her OA. She’s really consistent.

[color=red]Mango Frappe (5yo, Sunday Silence) won her OA, even though it probably wasn’t her favorite distance.

[color=blue]War Chest (3yo, War Chant) won his NW3, remaining undefeated for the year. Don’t be surprised if you see him in a stakes soon.

[color=blue]Coup d’Etat (3yo, Ring of Fire) won, breaking his maiden. In a claimed. Go figure.

[color=blue]Zadar (3yo, What’s Your Point) won his first stakes race, the ungraded Sir Barton Stakes, remaining undefeated for the year.  I’m very curious as to where he might go from here.

[color=blue]Allinvain (4yo, Worth My While) won the G1 Prince of Wales Stakes, his second G1 win.  Good boy.

PLACES

(my ponies are boycotting this placing)

SHOWS

[color=red]Ch. Always Ladylike (4yo, Giant’s Causeway) was 3rd in her OA.  At least she’s consistently in the top 3, though it seems her best years may already be behind her.  Don’t be surprised if she gets retired next spring, though I’m loathe to do so.

[color=red]Ch. Nicole’s Majic (3yo, A.P. Indy) was 3rd in the G2 Genuine Risk.  She continues to dodge her second stakes win, but at least she likes to bring home money.

[color=red]Ch. Queen Catarina (3yo, King David) was 3rd in the G1 Black-Eyed Susan Stakes against some very tough competition.  I’m pleased with that!

FOURTHS

[color=red]Xcientist (3yo, Crystal Rainbow) was 4th in her maiden.  Sigh.  I’m having trouble figuring this girl out.

OFF THE BOARD

Crucifix (2yo, Spock) was 6th in his NW2.
Charming Devil (2yo, Silver Charm) was 7th in his NW2.
GCh. Ducati (3yo, Magic Cross) was a very disappointing 7th in the Preakness, but he went in with only a D energy, so I’m not terribly surprised.  The injury in his prep race has really thrown him off his game, I think.
Foxy Ruby (6yo, Gallant Fox) was 8th in her OA.  She still needs 9 points to earn a title.  Ugh.
Art of Love (2yo, High On Love) was a disappointing 9th in her NW3.

Great, I’m going to have his full sibling next year hopefully!

13 runners sent out, 6 winners, including 3 G1W, 2 of which were Classic winners. In addition, we have another horse who became stud-qualified.

6 Wins
[color=red]Ch. Classic Red Line, (3yo, NCh. I’m A Classic x A Fine Red Line) 1/10 in the G1 Preakness Stakes at Pimlico, in which stable-companion [color=blue]Ch. Last For More, (3yo, NCh. Lasting Spirit x Back For More) finished 5th. Both horses will be headed to Belmont for the Belmont Stakes.
[color=red]Ch. Saucy Magician, (3yo, ICh. Magic Glory x Kinda Sassy) 1/10 in the G1 Black-Eyed Susan Stakes at Pimlico, in which stable-companion [color=red]Ch. Flight of Silk, (3yo, GCh. Major’s Flight x Flaming Silk) finished 2nd.
[color=blue]G.Ch. Painted Raven, (5yo, NCh. Slew O’Scots x Painted Desert) 1/10 in the G1 Ascot Gold Cup in England, in which stable-companion [color=blue]N.Ch. AndLikeThatHesGone finished 4th. [color=blue]G.Ch. Painted Raven becomes the 4th Starfish horse to be stud-qualified starting next year. What with [color=blue]AndLikeThatHesGone who became stud-qualified a few weeks ago, Stillwater’s [color=blue]Lord Nelson and Equestriana’s [color=blue]Sunday Paper who also became qualified in this race (Congratulations to his connections), that means that all of the first four in this race will be joining the stud lists next year. I wonder if there has ever been a case where the first four in a race all became stud-qualified within a couple of months of each other?
[color=blue]Ministry of Magic, (2yo, ICh. Magic Glory x Must be a Mystery) 1/9 in an NW1 in England.
[color=blue]Golden Idol, (2yo, NCh. Golden Text x Coco Diablo) 1/8 in an NW2 at Calder.
[color=blue]The Pink Panther, (2yo, GCh. Cool Thief x Secret Society) 1/10 in a Mdn at Calder.

1 Second
[color=red]Ch. Flight of Silk (see above note)…

1 Third
[color=red]Vote for Romance, (3yo, ICh. Gunningdownromance x Swing Vote) 3/6 in an NW1 in England.

2 Fourths
[color=blue]N.Ch. AndLikeThatHesGone (see above note).
[color=red]Bowling Alley, (2yo, ICh. Alley Cat x A Fine Red Line) 4/13 in an NW2 at Woodbine.

Also Ran
[color=blue]Ch. Last For More (see above note).
[color=red]G.Ch. Hi Honey, (4yo, FFCh. Foolhardy x Cherokee Accent) 5/11 in the G1 Prince of Wales Stakes in England.
[color=red]Flying High, (2yo, WCh. What’s Debatable x Big Bet) 5/10 in an NW3 at Woodbine.
