5/15

Pretty good day, few shockers though

16(2)-5-2(1)-2(1)-1

[color=blue]Conrad and [color=blue]Kingster came 6th and 9th respectively in a NW2 for 3yo’s, disappointing

[color=red]String Theory was 6th in a NW3 for fillies, disappointing she won last time out

[color=red]Saffron Sky was first in a NW3 Steeple for fillies, she is getting nice SF’s, but I reckon a change of equips will help

[color=red]Tears Of The Moon won a NW3. She is 4 and had no wins until this year. Still no superstar

[color=blue]Ch. Bet On Octagonal won his OA on the dirts, making it 4 wins and 4 places this year for his 8 outings. I like this boy, I bought him because he is 1/2 to [color=green]Ch. Take A Punt who got me my first stakes win and setup monies. He seems very similiar too, running well on dirt or turf and preferring the longer distances. He also got his Champion title in this race

[color=blue]Starseeker was 5th in an OA… he is very frustrating

[color=green]Watergate won his steeples race, he does well on all but Wet tracks. He has only figured out how to run this year

[color=green]Sadler’s Eclipse and [color=green]Apollo Ocean 3rd and 4th respectively in a Turf OA. Both need different equips

[color=red]Ch. Ordinarily Yours earned her Champs with an OA win, her SF’s are nothing special though

[color=red]Bonita Montana was 8th in a turf OA for 3yo’s, she won her last two races but I tried new equips anyway and it was a disaster

[color=blue]Awaiting Jade was 2nd in a NW3, he has yet to win this year but had several second places. I think he just needs more time

[color=red]Cry Me A River was 8th in a NW3, she won her first race this year and done nothing since :confused:

[color=blue]Quest For Victory was 2nd in the Bold Ruler Stakes, pretty happy with this! Coming to realise he prefers the longer distances so we’ll take a second considering the race was 6f  :slight_smile:

[color=red]Ch. Saramenha just managed to get her Ch. with a 3rd in the Nassau County Breeder’s Cup for 3yoF. She seems to do well on the dirt or turf, she has already gotten a second an third in other stakes this year

Sent out 6 and 4 brought home checks, so not too bad! My herd really likes running warm/freezing cold.

[color=red]Witch’s Point (Point Given) ran 1st/6 in her claimer and stays home.

[color=green]Legal Strategy (Highland Bandit) was 2nd/10 in his OA after a long break.
[color=blue]Devil’s Advocate (Crystal Rainbow) was 2nd/6 in his SA.

[color=blue]Rock Stardom (Devil May Care) was 4th/14 in his OA.

Pretty good day - new stakes winner in the barn, which is always nice.

WINS:
[color=blue]Rumor Mill (2yo, Ring of Fire) in a NW1 in his second lifetime start.

[color=blue]Lost Continent (2yo, Dark Continent) in a NW2, also his second lifetime start.

[color=red]One More Star (2yo, A.P. Indy) in a NW3. She’s 2 for 2. :slight_smile:

[color=red]Brightest Angel (2yo, Holy Bull) in a maiden.

[color=blue]King’s Knight (3yo, Chivalry) in a NW3.

[color=blue]Legendary Glory (3yo, Robin Hood) in the Jubilee Handicap. This is his fourth lifetime win and first stakes win, yay!

PLACES:
[color=red]Sunlight Spell (2yo, Seattle Sorcerer) in a NW1.

[color=red]Bright Princess (3yo, High Chances) in a NW3.

[color=red]Oscurita (2yo, Bellagio) in a NW3.

SHOWS:
[color=red]Fool For You (3yo, Foolhardy) in a NW3.

[color=red]Joanna (3yo, Smart Strike) in a NW3.

FOURTHS:
[color=blue]Fit to be King (2yo, Long Live the King) in a NW1.

[color=blue]As You Like (3yo, As You Wish) in an OA.

[color=blue]Freddie Mercury (3yo, King David) in a NW3.

[color=blue]Usain Bolt (4yo, Strider) in the Bold Ruler Stakes.

[color=red]Millennium Star (3yo, Rock of Gibraltar) in the Nassau County Breeders’ Cup.

Only one win and one place, but everyone earned some money (and we have another 2yo maiden winner, a create!).

2yo [color=blue]Luminoso won his first maiden by 2 lengths. I created him for activity points, he’s a tall light grey with markings. The name means “bright, glowing, luminous”…

3yo [color=red]Gentle Words, a recently claimed The Fighting Fifty filly, finished 2nd/6 in a maiden. She’s getting better each time.

3yo [color=red]Belle of Portugal was 3rd/8 in a NW2 allowance, in which [color=red]Intricate finished 4th and [color=red]Hadriana 5th. Three entrants in one race and no win!

4yo [color=red]Ch. Embellished finished 4th/12 in Early Times Mint Julep Stakes. I just realized that she’s earned the most money this year.

2yo [color=red]Hermelinda was 5th/12 in her second maiden race. At least it’s better than last time. She’s by Holy Bull.

Only the mares showed up today, all the boys sucked haha

[color=red]Realta (Irish River) was 3rd/6 in a NW1

[color=red]Rain Dancer (Seattle Sorcerer) was 3rd/6 in a NW3

[color=red]Harvard Speaker (Harvard Bound) was 3rd/10 in a Maiden

I normally don’t post here but todays results have moved me to.

10 runners out today and I am about to send a search party for all ten. For the first time in 7 years, not ONE has earned any cash… SERIOUSLY!!! No sugar cubes for them should they ever find their way home.

Handful of wins, but we did send out 20 ponies.

Wins

Top Banana (Dark Continent) won his NW1.
Gonnabeamightyking (Long Live the King) won his NW3. This is his 3rd win to date. His dam seems to throw ponies that have an awesome 2yo season and then refuse to run. i’d love to see this guy studified, but at that may not be a realistic hope.
Ring of Smoke (Ring of Fire) won her OA. After several rough starts earlier this year, she seems to have found her stride again.
Leonardo (Express Yourself) remains unbeaten this year in his 3rd start.
City Upon a Hill (Crystal Rainbow) got his 4th win of the year. Maybe it’s time for some stakes.

Place
Pyrrhic Victory (V is for Victory) was 2nd against the boys.
Black Cherry (High Chances) was 2nd in his Gr. 1

Show
Lady Vesta (Ring of Fire) was 3rd against the boys.
Flower Power (Gunningdownromance) was 3rd in her maiden.
Chance of Rain (High Chances) was 3rd in her Gr. 3

Win
[color=red]Freedom Express (express yourself) in an. NW-3

Place
[color=green]Height of Darkness in a claimed he remains with us (recently gelded)

Show
[color=red]Sorority Fight (war chant) in an NW-3

[color=red]Celtic Spice in an NW-2

5th
[color=blue]Lading Man in an NW-3

Also ran
[color=blue]In for the Wynn (bellagio)  10/14 was 4thlast time out
[color=red]Beautifuly Deadly (smart strike) 9/11  unplaced so far out of 3 starts
[color=blue]Radar Love (rahy) 7/10  was 2nd in his first start
[color=blue]King of Hollywood (takemetohollywood) 10/10 was 3rd in his last start
[color=blue]Dontquityourdayjob (my lucky day) 8/13 best place was 5th out of 3 starts
[color=red]Devils bounty (devil his due) 11/12 unplaced in 2 starts

One nice surprise today - [color=red]Firm Kiss (3yo, Harvard Bound) came in 1st in her starter allowance.  With her previously 3-0-3-0-0 record, I expected her to keep coming in 2nd for the rest of her career.

On the topic of consistency, my filly [color=red]Secret Morning (2yo, Government Secret) had a third consecutive 4th in a maiden race, making her race record 3-0-0-0-3.  Hopefully she’ll pull a Firm Kiss and break up her fourthing streak with a win next time.

Nothing to write home about with my other two racers today - a 4th and a 13th.

14 runners sent out today, brought home another Classic with the winner of the Irish Derby, our fifth Classic win this year.

4 Wins
[color=blue]Ch. Final Mystery, (3yo, ICh. Magic Glory x Lady of Mystery) 1/10 in the G1 Irish Derby in Ireland. His second consecutive win (both SW) and 3rd in his last 4 races. He earned his “Ch” status with this win. Massive improvement over last year when his best performance was two 3rds.
[color=blue]G.Ch. First Born Son, (4yo, ICh. Ring of Fire x What’s That About) 1/9 in the G1 Singapore Airlines International Cup at Hong Kong, in which stable-companion [color=red]Ch. American Dance, (4yo, Almost Home x Northern Sister) finished 4th. This was [color=blue]G.Ch. First Born Son’s second consecutive win this year, both G1W.
[color=red]Helena, (3yo, NCh. Highland Wizard x Spiletta) 1/6 in an NW1 at Woodbine.
[color=red]Miss Livewire, (3yo, NCh. Gone Haywire x Fan into Flame) 1/8 in an NW2 at Belmont.

1 Second
[color=blue]Flaming Parachute, (2yo, GCh. Major’s Flight x Flaming Silk) 2/14 in an NW1 at Woodbine.

2 Thirds
[color=blue]Sunset Flight, (2yo, GCh. Major’s Flight x Sunset Girl) 3/10 in an NW3 at Belmont.
[color=blue]Ch. Prestige, (5yo, Cross Roads x Magician’s Mystery) 3/6 in an Clm at Calder. Remains For Sale.

1 Fourth
[color=red]Ch. American Dance, (see above note).

Nothing else worth reporting on

Steph, I hope you don’t mind that I’m stealing your idea of posting the summary at the top.  I love it!

We had a pretty great day overall (at least our stakes ponies knew what they were doing), especially if you overlook those darn 2YOs…  ::)

15{8} - 4(4) - 4(2) - 3(2) - 1

WINS

[color=red]GCh. Afterglow (5yo, Affirmed) won the G3 Bold Ruler Stakes.  She has been my most consistent runner this year, having never been out of the top two, even though she’s run primarily in stakes races.  She’s not far from her next title, so the hope is to get her to it before retirement next spring-ish.

[color=blue]Ch. Fight The Twilight (3yo, Nightfight) won the G3 Dogwood Stakes, his first stakes win of the year.  I’m still getting to know him, as he was on lease his whole 2yo season.

[color=red]Ch. Lovespell (4yo, Magic Cross) won the G3 Early Times Mint Julep Stakes - her second stakes win in a row.  This girl is on a roll, so I’m hopeful for her future.

[color=red]D’lightful (4yo, High Chances) won the G3 Ladbroke Trophy - her first stakes win.  She’s undefeated so far this year.

PLACES

[color=red]Brianza (2yo, Bellagio) placed second in her maiden.  Record is 2 (0-1-1), so she’s doing pretty well so far.

[color=red]Allnighter II (2yo, All Jazzed Up) finished second in her maiden after making a switch to dirt.  She’s 1/2 to Ch. Coquette, one of our best 2yo fillies last year.

[color=red]Holy Smokes (3yo, Holy Bull) made her first stakes attempt, finishing 2nd in the G2 Nassau County Breeders’ Cup.  Glad to see she’s finally figuring it all out.

[color=blue]Ch. Mimic (3yo, I’m Your Angel) finished 2nd in the ungraded Jubilee Handicap.  It was his second stakes start, behind his G1 win last time out.  He earned his title today.

SHOWS

[color=red]Hawaiian Ice (5yo, Bold Ruler) finished 3rd in her OA.  She’s another that I’m hoping to get a title for before retirement next spring…  Wish her luck!  She’s only finished in the top three so far this year, though.

[color=red]Ch. Girlfight (4yo, Nightfight) finished 3rd in the G3 Bold Ruler Stakes against stable matron, Afterglow.  Can’t complain too much about that!

[color=blue]Ch. Cuchulain (4yo, Irish River) flew to Hong Kong for the G1 Singapore Airlines International Cup after the Australian circuit shut down, and finished 3rd.

FOURTHS

[color=red]Indywind (6yo, A.P. Indy) finished 4th in her starter allowance.  She is only 2 points away from her title, dangit…

OFF THE BOARD

Grand Love (2yo, High On Love) was 5th in his NW1.
Rahndezvous (2yo, Rahy) was 5th in his NW3.
Good Classics (2yo, I’m A Classic) was 8th in her NW2.

Not at all, it’s good for comparisons :wink:
