4/27

Decent day, 7 out, 5 in the money.

[color=red]Beautiful Basic (3yo Turn N Burn) broke her maiden in an NW1.

[color=red]In The Loop (4yo As You Wish) won her NW3.

[color=red]Send Me Flowers (5yo Sadlers Wells) won her OA. [color=red]Crowd Teaser was 4th.

[color=red]Bold Lilly (2yo Boldness Shows) 2nd in her NW2.

One good filly and two lazy colts…

3yo [color=red]Intricate finished 3rd/10 Ceasar’s Wish Stakes. This race wasn’t planned for her, but she was ready to run and it wasn’t very crowded.

Recently claimed [color=blue]Montecristo finished  4th/11 in a NW1, in which his stablemate [color=blue]Beautiful Romance was 8th. At least they earned good speed figures…

Three out, only one worth mentioning:

[color=blue]Mimic (3yo, I’m Your Angel) won his first stakes, the G1 Melair Stakes, setting his second speed record in the process. Not a bad way to start at the stakes level!

OFF THE BOARD

Ch. Allinvain (4yo, Worth My While) was 5th in the G2 Sandown Classic.
Sign of the Cross (2yo, I’m A Classic) was 7th in his NW3, but I suspect he needed more down time despite what his E/F levels claimed.

Well iffy day sent out 12 and came home with 13, like I needed another! Lol I’m hurting financially as I entered a horse in the derby for the first time in 8 yrs in the game (praying he hits the board again)

Wins
[color=red]Hearts Wish (as you wish) in a 6.5f for 2/f  not only wiring the race but winning by 3 1/2 lengths!
[color=blue]Bold Vigil (king David 3yo) in a claimer in England , I needed another runner over there.

Shows
[color=red]Isawmommakissinsanta (rumor has it) in a mixed Nw-1 (top 3 separated by nose and neck)
[color=red]Celtic spice in a wet turf Nw-2

4ths
[color=green]Franklin in a wet turf OA
[color=blue]Riverton Heights  in an OA, SC in Aus.

5ths
[color=red]Cats Lucky Day in an Nw-3 wet turf

The rest were either just off the board in 6th or near the back

Um, no comment, haha. Sent out 6 and the best we managed was a 3rd and a 4th.

[color=red]Magickal Rites (Giant’s Causeway) ran 3rd/14 in an OA and will be given a breather before her next start.

[color=green]Macau (Diplomat) was 4th/10 in a claimer and stays home.

A disappointing day. 11 runners sent out, only 4 hit the board.

2 Seconds
[color=red]Devil’s Flight, (3yo, GCh. Major’s Flight x Coco Diablo) 2/10 in the Ung Ceasar’s Wish Stakes at Pimlico.
[color=blue]DoubleOrNothing, (6yo, A.P. Indy x By Honor Bound) 2/6 in a Claimer in Australia. He is For Sale for 20k.

1 Third
[color=blue]Ch. Casting Couch, (4yo, FFCh. TakeMeToHollywood x Back Streets) 3/9 in the G3 Sandown Stakes in Australia.

1 Fourth
[color=blue]G.Ch. Cup O’ Tea, (6yo, GCh. Stagehand x Whistlin’ Dixie) 4/10 in the G2 Bristol Novices in England. Still needs one more SW to be stud-qualified.

Nothing else worth reporting on.

Two today.

[color=green]Ch. Gallant Affair ran in 10.5f Claiming ($25,000) for 4yo+ (D) and placed 1st/10, which was refreshing because we’ve had a bit of a win drought.

[color=blue]Ch. Alfresco ran in 7.0f Gr. 1 Melair Stakes for 3yo (T) and placed 5th/12. At least he made some money. I’ll be entering him in only allowances now. I’ve given up dreams of him being a stud, just hoping to get his title to GCh now.

Congrats! I hope he continues to run well for you

Very nice day! A new stakes winner for the barn, and a new future stallion - definitely not going to complain. :slight_smile:

WINS:
[color=red]Keep The Faith (2yo, Giant’s Causeway) in her debut. Half-sister to MSWs King David and Out of Tune.

[color=red]Sable Princess (4yo, King David) in an OA.

[color=red]Spread The News (3yo, All Jazzed Up) in a NW3.

[color=blue]Whatchagonnado (4yo, Giant’s Causeway) in the Eclipse Stakes, for his first win (in a Gr 1, no less!)

[color=blue]Usain Bolt (4yo, Strider) in the Sandown Stakes, for his 7th stakes win, making him stud qualified, woo! Look for this boy at stud in 2019, barring injury/lack of performance before then.

PLACE:
[color=red]Crimson and Silver (3yo, Highland Laird) in a NW2.

SHOWS:
[color=blue]Freddie Mercury (3yo, King David) in a NW2.

[color=blue]Connect the Dots (2yo, Long Live the King) in a maiden.

[color=red]Live A Little (3yo, Jazz It Up) in an OA.

[color=blue]As You Like (3yo, As You Wish) in the Melair Stakes.

FOURTHS:
[color=red]Thats Not My Point (3yo, What’s Your Point) in the Ceasar’s Wish Stakes.

[color=blue]Legendary Glory (3yo, Robin Hood) in the Melair Stakes.

Congratulations Shanthi :slight_smile:

Thanks! I didn’t let myself count him as a legit stud prospect until his last race, so it’s nice to have the qualification happen so “quickly” (unlike certain other boys I could name…). I’m looking forward to having his bloodlines in my stud barn.

Congratulations. I will definitely plan to send some mares to him.

Yay! Congrats, Shanthi!!
