3/2

Pretty good day, ignoring the stakes ponies.

WINS:
[color=red]Cadbury (3yo, Highland Wizard) in a NW2.

[color=blue]Plague (3yo, High Chances) in a NW3. This is his second win in a row. :slight_smile:

[color=red]Arizona Dream (5yo, High Chances) in an OA, her first win over jumps.

[color=blue]As You Like (3yo, As You Wish) in an OA.

[color=red]Hollywood Drama (3yo, Stressed) in a maiden.

PLACES:
[color=red]Crystal Romance (3yo, Gunningdownromance) in a NW3.

[color=red]Lost Opportunity (4yo, High Chances) in an OA.

[color=red]Sunlight Spell (3yo, Seattle Sorcerer) in a maiden.

[color=red]Test of Faith (3yo, Ring of Fire) in the Busher Stakes.

SHOWS:
[color=red]Night Break (3yo, Dark Continent) in her first start for us in a NW2.

[color=red]Cameo Way (3yo, Stressed) in a NW3.

[color=red]Bright Princess (3yo, High Chances) in a maiden, behind Bright Princess.

[color=red]Gift of Gold (3yo, Giant’s Causeway) in the Busher Stakes, behind Test of Faith.

The other stakes entrants bombed. :frowning:

Much better than on my birthday :wink:

[color=red]Ch. She’s Outlawed is back in shape! She won the ungraded Busher Stakes.

[color=red]Gentle Charlotte won her claimer by 7 1/4 lengths and stays at home (till our auction :wink: ).

[color=red]Cabernet was 2nd/6 in her NW1, lost by a nose.

[color=red]Ch. Alchaasibiyeh was 3rd/6 in her open allowance steeplechase, trying longer distance first time this year.

Yay!

Whoo Plague! (And Arizona Dream and Night Break.)

Decent week. Not great, but not bad.

Winners

City Upon a Hill and Memorial Day won their NW allowances.

Place
Dreams of Glory was 2nd in her OA.
Black Cherry was 2nd in his Gr. 1

Other
Ring of Smoke, Celtic Cross, and Starling were all 4th in their respective races.

Only sent out 3 but 2 hit the board!

[color=green]Legal Strategy was 1st/11 in his OA (I love older geldings).
[color=red]Temple Maid ran 2nd/8 in her NW3 / SC debut.

Best day I’ve had in a while!

[color=red]La Femme Nikita ran in 5.0f NW3 Allowance for 4yo+ (T) and placed 1st/6.

[color=green]Evil Rumors ran in 5.5f Claiming ($25,000) for 3yo+ (D) and placed 1st/11, going unclaimed. He loves running in claimers!

[color=red]Delightful Queen ran in 11.0f Allowance for 4yo+ F/M (D) and placed 3rd/13.

After making some adjustments to how I pick races for my horses I’m rewarded with a pretty solid racing day. All five runners hit the board, though I wish I had more winners, xD

[color=green]Magnificent Red ran 3rd in a 11f NW1 steepchase for 3YO+, which is his best finish so far since switching to hurdles. Each time we jump trialed him he came out loving it but wow it took forever for him to actually show it.

[color=red]Spice Spice Baby and [color=red]USS Enterprise both ran in a 6.5f NW3 Allowance on turf for 4YO+ and finished third and second, respectively. I’m a little disappointed in Spice - she was doing pretty hot until I claimed her, so what does that say about me, lol - but USS Enterprise is hopefully rounding back into a reliable form; she was on vacay after being stranded in the east for several months.

[color=red]Beautiful Is Gone also finished second in a 10.5f allowance on turf for 4YO+ F and put up a decent SF, too. So far she’s hit the board in all three starts this year without winning, which isn’t too bad but I really hope she wins a few this year.

Winning for the second time this year is our homebred filly [color=red]Quorra in a 7.5f NW2 allowance for 3YO+ on dirt. Low SF but she did win against her elders. She’s our first homebred repeat winner and I hope she keeps it up (and raise her SF in the process).

Most of my ponies are being sent home for a well-deserved rest at the moment, so nothing to report there.

But I am happy to welcome home a new runner, 1/2 to the stallion Call To War - Takin the Highroad (x Highland Wizard).  Double gold-bred.  She’s been switched to SC, which is a shame, but I’ll see how well we can get her to run.

7 runners sent out, pretty satisfactory day.

2 Wins
[color=red]Ancient Fire, (3yo, Turn n’Burn x Ancient Honour) 1/6 in an Clm at Aqueduct. First win and first race in which she brought home any money. For Sale for $35k.
[color=red]Ch. Sand Dune, (3yo, Giant’s Causeway x Dayatthebeach) 1/10 in the G2 Rampart Handicap at Gulfstream. 2nd win in a row (both SW) and 4th in her last 5 races. She is headed home for a rest then will have one race before heading to the U.K. for either the English or Irish classics.

1 Second
[color=blue]Ch. Keyboard, (4yo, War Chant x Lady of Mystery) 2/10 in the G2 Shillaci Stakes in Australia.
