Another good day. 11 runners sent out, only 2 came back empty-handed.

[color=red]Ch. Dark Topaz, (4yo, Dark Continent x Topaz) 1/12 in the G3 Toboggan Handicap at Aqueduct. It’s nice to see her running into form again after a string of Also Ran performances.
[color=red]Ch. White Sand Beach, (4yo, Almost Home x Dayatthebeach) 1/10 in the Ung Broadway Handicap at Aqueduct. 2nd SW this year, 3rd overall.
[color=red]Ch. Major Dreams, (3yo, Major’s Flight x Sheza Dreamer) 1/10 in the G2 Bonnie Miss Stakes at Gulfstream. 4th win in a row, 3 (all SW) of which were this year. She may be headed for the English or Irish Classics, since all of her wins have been on Turf and the American Classics are run on Dirt.
[color=blue]Magic Roundabout, (3yo, Magic Glory x What’s That About) 1/10 in the G3 Coongy Handicap in Australia. He, too, could be headed for the English or Irish Classics.

[color=red]Ch. Unbridled Run, (4yo, Strider x Unbridled Passion) 2/10 in the G3 Moonga Stakes in Australia.

[color=red]Ch. Classic Red Line, (3yo, I’m A Classic x A Fine Red Line) 3/10 in the G1 Florida Derby at Gulfstream. She will be shipped home for a rest then will have one more race before the American Classics.
[color=red]Whats Believeable, (4yo, What’s Debatable x By By Birdie) 3/14 in the G1 Santa Margarita Handicap at Santa Anita.

[color=red]Helena, (3yo, Highland Wizard x Spiletta) 5/10 in the G1 Santa Anita Oaks at Santa Anita.
[color=blue]Ch. No Guts No Glory, (4yo, Magic Glory x Risk Away) 7/10 in the G3 Coongy Handicap in Australia, behind stable-companion [color=blue]Magic Roundabout.
[color=red]Beautiful Rumor, (4yo, Rumor Has It x Sunset Beauty) 8/12 in the G3 Toboggan Handicap at Aqueduct, behind stable-companion [color=red]Ch. Dark Topaz.

Two ladies…

[color=red]Ch. Embellished finished 2nd/10 in Broadway Handicap, lost by a nose. She became a Champion today!

[color=red]GCh. The Woman In Black finished 5th/14 in Santa Margarita Handicap. She now has 50 races under her belt! Always safe and sound.

Ok day, some awesome, some not-so-awesome. Sent 7 out, 4 on the board

[color=red]Al Summan (3yo, Seattle Sorcerer) won her NW2 allowance, second win this season

[color=blue]Naval Commander (3yo, I’m Your Angel) won the G1 Florida Derby! His second stakes win this season, and both wins were over different distances. Hopefully he keeps this up! He is now a Champion

[color=blue]Cinnabar (4yo, Whats Your Point) ran 2nd in an open allowance

[color=red]Heavens To Betsy (3yo, High Chances) ran 3rd in a NW1 allowance

Only had 4 race today, no wins today, but 2 on the board!

[color=blue]Wolverine came in 2nd in his NW2 allowance on the Dirt. His only 2 races this year have been on the board.

[color=blue]Ch. Gallant Affair ran in 10.0f Claiming ($25,000) for 4yo+ (D) and placed 1st/6. I know he’s never going to make it to stud, so I’m debating gelding him to see if he’d compete in something higher than claimers.

[color=red]Ch. Eloquence ran in 9.0f Gr. 1 Santa Margarita Handicap for 4yo+ F/M (SC) and placed 6th/14. Competition was fierce! Earned a respectable SF of 250.

[color=red]Champagne On Ice ran in 12.0f Allowance for 4yo+ (SC) and placed 7th/13. She has not placed this year. I was hoping to get her to champion, but I think she’s had it with running. She’s being retired to the breeding shed and I’ll be starting my research on possible matches for her immediately.

2 horses out, and 2 on the board!

[color=blue]Forest Guardian (3yo) won a maiden steeplechase in a field of 12. I claimed him in January hoping that switching him to steeplechase would work out.  His half-siblings include NCh. French Ruby and Ch. Red Fox, who are MSW steeplechasers.

[color=red]Analeigh (3yo) came in 2nd in her first race for me, a NW1 allowance.  She’s another claimer who recently came to Easter Valley.

Well today was a bit disappointing - four out and just one hit the board with a third in an 11.5f SC NW2 for 4YO+. Might drop the others in claimers to make way for a rather large group of 2YOs.

Haven’t had much time for racing lately, what with my new work schedule.  Has a decent enough day in some respects I suppose.

A win, a 2nd, and then the rest kind of bombed.  :stuck_out_tongue:

Moonlit Lane and Naerwen were my win and 2nd respectively.  Sunshine Wishes, Later Alligator (who I think is ready to retire to brood, she’s not been doing well race wise in a while), and Tennessee Crossing had 10th, 12th, and 9th place finishes respectively.

I’d go a little more in detail…but I’m not able to focus enough to do any good at it at the moment.  :stuck_out_tongue:
