12/29

For the final meet of the year, sent out 5 and 3 hit the board.

[color=green]Legal Strategy was 1st/10 in his OA, and stablemate [color=blue]Massacre was 7th.
[color=blue]Glory of Love ran 2nd/6 in his OA. No tears there, since the winner ran off to a 6 length win and has scored in 4 of 9 starts this year.
[color=red]Palm Reader (2yo, Seattle Sorcerer) managed a 3rd/12 in her maiden.

15 runners sent out today, 6 winners, including wins in 2 G1 Breeders’ Stakes races and 2 other Stakes winners:-

6 Wins

Apart from [color=blue]NCh. Lucky Streak & [color=red]GCh. Play My Game, all of today’s runners will remain in training for next year.

We have many good prospects for next year, especially as 16 out of our 24 current 2YO’s were winners this year.

Only [color=blue]Ch. Al Mundhir ran today, and he finished 2nd/6 in his Starter Allowance, followed by Your Chant, a filly we sold recently. Overall, looks like Clicker Lab improved comparing to last year; win percentage increased by 2% and earnings percentage increased by 12%. I hope that next year will be even better.

My ponies chose to end the year on a good note, as a whole.

Leased mare [color=red]Never Doubt (3yo, No Duplicate) won her NW1 - her second win in a row, thanks to a recent equipment change.

[color=red]Queen Catarina (2yo homebred, King David) won her OA, beating leased-out stablemate, Fight The Twilight.  That’s surprising!

[color=blue]Star of Lakshmi (2yo homebred, Octagonal) won his OA.  He’s been a happy guy since we figured out he only likes turf and figure-eight noseband.

[color=red]Singsong (2yo homebred, Rahy) won her NW2.  She typically prefers to play bridesmaid, but has never been less than 3rd this year.  Stubborn girl, but glad to see her in the winner’s circle again.

[color=red]Hawaiian Ice (4yo, Bold Ruler) won her NW3.  She’s starting to perk up as we get to know her better, but she’s already been switched to hurdles.  I bought her primarily for her bloodlines as a future broodmare, but am hoping to get her some more race credentials before sending her to brood.  She will run in 2017.

[color=red]Worth A Treasure (2yo homebred, Worth My While) finished 2nd in a NW2.  She’s another girl who likes to be in the top 3, but doesn’t like the fuss of the winner’s circle.

[color=red]Girlfight (3yo homebred, Nightfight) finished 4th in the ungraded Alex M. Robb Stakes.  I think this lady would prefer to stick to allowances, as she remains multi-stakes placed.

[color=red]Alakazam (2yo homebred, Highland Magic) is a filly who is either on her game or off.  Today, she was off - finishing 5th in her NW3.

Pretty good way to end the year, though the ponies generally opted more for 3rd than 1st/2nd. Only 2 worse than 3rd, though.

WINS:
[color=red]Millennium Star (2yo, Rock of Gibraltar) in a NW3. She’s on a winning streak, with her last 3 starts ending in the winners’ circle.

[color=blue]Rischioso (2yo, Lasting Spirit) in a NW2. He’s won his last 2 starts, on both dirt and turf.

[color=red]Fire Magic (2yo, Highland Magic) in an OA. She’s won her last two starts as well, both on dirt.

PLACES:
[color=blue]Gandalf (2yo, Highland Wizard) in a maiden. Here’s hoping he wins next year with a bit more distance.

[color=blue]As You Like (2yo, As You Wish) in a NW2. He’s been very consistent this year, so perhaps try some stakes next year.

[color=red]Test of Faith (2yo, Ring of Fire) in the Eternal Hope Breeders’ Stakes. This is her first stakes result higher than 4th, so we hope that bodes well for the future.

SHOWS:
[color=red]Full of Fanfare (2yo, Witness) in an OA against the boys. Didn’t manage to be 3 for 3 with this race, but still a great effort.

[color=red]Thats Not My Point (2yo, What’s Your Point) in an OA against the boys. She’s also been super solid this year.

[color=blue]Indy’s Flight (2yo, A.P. Indy) in the Man O’War Breeders’ Stakes.

[color=blue]Lord Nelson (4yo, Cigar) in the Omaha Breeders’ Stakes. He’s had a great year, earning almost $3mil, and will try jumps next year.

[color=red]Hemisphere (2yo, Octagonal) in the Eternal Hope Breeders’ Stakes. We’re hoping for some stakes wins in 2017.

[color=red]Brightest Light (4yo, Akhetnaten) in the Highland Raven Breeders’ Stakes. We never expected her to do this much after breaking her leg in January 2015. We’ll likely keep her running next year and then retire her to breeding.

Bring on 2017!

Not mad about our results for our first week of racing… sending 2 horses out, our created mare, Belgian Lace came home for the win, leading the entire time!! Pretty excited about that, yet not quite sure yet what to make of it  ;D ???

Congrats on a win your first time out. It can’t be a bad sign, right?
