12/26

Not TERRIBLE but not great either. Sent out 7 and 3 hit the board.

[color=blue]Red Dog was 1st/6 in his OA. He’s been a lovely, consistent horse all year. I have high hopes next year.
[color=red]Magic Lable ran 2nd/9 in her OA.
[color=green]Vuela Vuela (2yo, Point Given) was 3rd/11 in his NW3. He likes going long so I suspect next year will be better.

Pretty good day - only 4 out of the top 4, and even two of them brought home a pay check.

WINS:
[color=blue]Sir Tristan (2yo, Gunningdownromance) in an OA. Maybe he’ll be ready for stakes next year.

[color=red]Gotta Triumph (2yo, Gotta Go) in an OA. She’ll be trying stakes races next year. :slight_smile:

[color=red]Clairvoyant (2yo, Holy Bull) in an OA. Another who will attempt stakes races as a 3yo.

[color=blue]Plague (2yo, High Chances) in a maiden. :slight_smile:

[color=red]Inner Light (4yo, Crystal Rainbow) in the Miss Hayday Breeders’ Stakes.

PLACES:
[color=red]Crystal Romance (2yo, Gunningdownromance) in a NW3.

[color=blue]Usain Bolt (3yo, Strider) in the Spectacular Bid Breeders’ Stakes. I figured 11f was a bit too long for him, but he’s had a good year.

[color=red]Can’t Fool Me (2yo, Foolhardy) in the Seeing Starz Breeders’ Stakes. She’s also had a very good year.

SHOW:
[color=blue]Thin Client (2yo, Take Me Away) in a NW2.

Hard to believe there’s only one race day left this year! 2016 has flown by.

Not a bad day at the office

Whoo Plague!

What do you expect - The real Usain Bolt is a sprinter!!! - LOL!!! He has done his namesake proud. I am Jamaican born, so you could say that I have a “vested interest” in him. I’m kind of sorry that it was one of my horses that ruined his Champion bid.

I gave him that name assuming he’d go for sprints, so lasting to 11f is quite a surprise to me. :slight_smile:

14 runners today.

3 Wins
[color=blue]GCh. AndLikeThatHesGone, (4yo, Major’s Flight x Risky Venture) 1/9 in an OA at Aqueduct.
[color=blue]Ch. Casting Couch, (3yo, TakeMeToHollywood x Back Streets) 1/7 in the G1 Spectacular Bid Breeders’ Stakes at Aqueduct.
[color=red]Saucy Magician, (2yo, Magic Glory x Kinda Sassy) 1/9 in the G1 Seeing Starz Breeders’ Stakes at Aqueduct.

2 Seconds
[color=red]Back St. Flight, (2yo, Major’s Flight x Back Streets) 2/9 in an NW3 at Aqueduct.
[color=blue]Ch. Rebel Brother, (4yo, Backseat Driver x Movie Mistress) 2/10 in an OA at Aqueduct.

3 Thirds
[color=blue]Getoutofmyway, (2yo, Slew O’Scots x Risk Away) 3/7 in an NW3 at Aqueduct.
[color=blue]Ch. Glorious Victory, (2yo, Magic Glory x Decisive Victory) 3/5 in the G1 Highland Bandit Breeders’ Stakes at Aqueduct.
[color=blue]NCh. In The Navy, (5yo, Man O’War x Dayatthebeach) 3/13 in the G3 Ipswich Cup in Australia.

2 Fourths
[color=red]Beautiful Rumor, (3yo, Rumor Has It x Sunset Beauty) 4/6 in an OA at Woodbine.
[color=red]GCh. Princess Kaiulani, (4yo, Worth the Wait x Whistlin’ Dixie) 4/8 in an OA at Woodbine.

Also Ran
[color=red]DashingCoronaRose, (2yo, Worth my While x By By Birdie) 5/12 in an NW2 at Woodbine. She is for sale.
[color=blue]Ch. Painted Raven, (4yo, Slew O’ Scots x Painted Desert) 6/9 in an OA at Woodbine.
[color=red]Ch. Dark Topaz, (3yo, Dark Continent x Topaz) 7/8 in the G1 Hollywood Queen Breeders’ Stakes at Aqueduct. She has not rediscovered her mid-season form. She will be sent home for a rest and will return in February. She may be running above her capabilities and certainly looks to be running farther than she should so will probably be kept to shorter (sub-8 furlong) distances.
[color=blue]GCh. Lucky Sunset, (5yo, Red Sunset x Lucky Lucky Lady) 11/13 in the G3 Ipswich Cup in Australia. Still needs one more SW to be stud-qualified.

Apart from [color=blue]NCh. In The Navy & [color=red]GCh. Princess Kaiulani who will be Retired to Stud on January 1st, all of our runners today will be returning next year.

Only sent out two today but both ran well.

[color=red]User Friendly (What’s Debatable 4yo) ran 2nd in her SC OA, beaten a nose. She stays in training as a 5yo.

[color=red]Sleep Easy (Rumor Has It 3yo) won her starter allowance. Not normally much to shout about but she’s 6 wins from 8 career starts now, so I’m excited to see how she progresses next year.

Wonderful day! Only two mares, but I was really happy about them.

3yo [color=red]Ch. Alchaasibiyeh (by Alley Cat) finished 1st/13 in her open steeplechase for fillies and mares. She’s improving constantly.

4yo [color=red]GCh. The Woman In Black finished 2nd/9 in open steeplechase, just a nose behind a millionaire stallion. She will probably be bred next year, after she runs 50 races and earns next title. She’s not far from becoming my first National Champion!

I’m late in posting, thanks to a crazy holiday season.

[color=blue]Cuchulain (3yo, Irish River) won his first stakes race, the G3 Ipswich Cup, beating some familiar names.  Maybe this is a sign of what he will do for us in 2017?

Leased mare, [color=red]Kissing Point (4yo, Point Given) won her OA - which is no surprise from this Breeder’s Cup winner.  She also earned a speed record for her efforts today - her second one.

[color=blue]Mimic (2yo homebred, I’m Your Angel) won his NW3 - he also earned a speed record this day.

[color=blue]Laudri (2yo, Point Given) ran second in his NW2 - he’s pretty consistently on the board, but isn’t a fan of the winner’s circle.

[color=red]Ch. Coquette (2yo homebred, Bellagio) finished 4th in the G1 Seeing Starz Breeders’ Stakes.  I’m glad to see her holding her own against the best 2yo fillies in the game - she’s had a good (and unexpected) year.
