12/18

Sent a small team out, but they all did really well today:

[color=blue]Ch. Allinvain (3yo homebred, Worth My While) won his OA, which is a nice little pick-me-up for him after his last attempt.

[color=red]Lovespell (3yo homebred, Magic Cross) won her OA also - her fourth win in a row.  I think she’s telling me she’s ready to try a stakes race.

[color=blue]Ch. Exit Poll (3yo, Irish River) won his OA over hurdles, winning by 5 lengths.  I wanted another stakes race for him, but couldn’t find one.

[color=red]Mango Frappe (4yo, Sunday Silence) was our “worst” finish of the day in 2nd.  She hasn’t been out of the top 2 in her last 6 starts.  She’s another who is being considered for the brood band, but I’m not convinced she’s ready to stop running just yet…

Pretty good day, including some solid performances from our maiden/allowance level crew.

WINS:
[color=red]Claire de Lune (3yo, Highland Laird) in her first start for us, a NW3.

[color=blue]Country Store (3yo, Point Given) in a starter allowance. Hoping he can try some stakes races again next year.

PLACES:
[color=red]Sunlight Spell (2yo, Seattle Sorcerer) in her first race since April.

[color=red]Devilinthedetails (2yo, Devil His Due) in her first race since July.

[color=red]Showmethemagic (2yo, Gimme A Shot) in her first race since April.

[color=red]Arizona Dream (4yo, High Chances) in a long-distance allowance.

[color=red]Dressed To Impress (2yo, No Duplicate) in her first race since April.

SHOWS:
[color=red]Integral (2yo, Magic Glory) in a NW1.

[color=red]Lost Opportunity (3yo, High Chances) in an OA against the boys.

Two fillies.

2yo [color=red]Hadriana grew up recently, she’s now 17.0h tall. Today she finished 3rd/7 in her NW2 allowance in Calder.

3yo [color=red]Lacune, after her recent win on a short distance, was entered in 18f endurance, and apparently she doesn’t like it  :stuck_out_tongue:. Finished 8th/9.

After a long drought, finally have a good week to write about.

Win:
Hubris (2yo, High Chances) in an NW3. As the only foal of his late NCh. dam, I have high hopes for this boy. Thankfully, he hasn’t let me down much yet.

Jester’s Crown (2yo, Foolhardy) in an OA against the boys. She managed to beat a talented MSW boy, so I’m super optimistic about her.

Lucretia (2yo, King David), in an OA against the girls.

Toast of the Town (4yo, TakeMeToHollywood) won her OA after a bit of a rest. Maybe she’ll be up for stakes company again before she retires.

Nighttime Strider (2yo, Strider) won her maiden.

Place
Holy Cow (2yo, Holy Bull) was 2nd in his OA.

Initforthelonghaul (3yo, Ring of Fire) was 2nd in her OA against the boys.

Show
Starling (2yo, Rahy) was 3rd in his OA.

Higher Agenda (4yo, Highland Bandit) was 3rd in an OA against the boys.

Fit to be Tied, Memorial Day, Fiery Foxx, Scarecrow, All the Right Moves and Fabulously High were all off the board.

A sort of “meh” day… seven out, three in the money.

[color=blue]Laissez Faire and [color=red]Evening Bird won their Allowance races by a combined total of eight lengths. :astonished:

Highland Sorcerer placed second in his Allowance, and has now gone on to become [color=blue]GCh. Highland Sorcerer. He and [color=blue]Nightwatchman are the only two 2YO’s to earn that title this year. Yay!
