Pleasing day here at CDS. A few nice wins and a boat load of 2nds.
Our wins included:
Bold Memories (Boldness Shows) in his NW2 allowance.
Swing Jazz (Jazz It Up) in a filly NW3.
Johnny Rio proved he isn’t too old y winning his 16f allowance.
And icing on the cake was Fightin’ The Smoke (Nightfight) winning the grade 3 Tempted Stakes. This win gave her MSW status and brought her daddy to 10.0 gold. Daisy May Care (Devil May Care) brought home 2nd in the same race.
Sent out 8 today and 5 came home with money, the shocker was I’d been getting an angel filly ready for stakes and she bombed it.

[color=red]Intimate Dancer-7.5f Allow,3yo+ F,Turf - Fast, [color=red]6th just didn’t try at all!
[color=blue]Epic Montage-13.0f Allow, 3yo,Turf - Fast, [color=blue]4th came out of 7th PP, moved up to 3rd at 10f to fall back at the finish.
[color=red]Cardinal Sin-(highland pride)6.0f NW3 Allow,2yo F,Turf - Wet, [color=red]3rd for not liking wet she did well to hit the board!
[color=blue]Quick Lemon-8.5f NW3 Allow,3yo,SC - Fast, [color=blue]2nd just bought him from semiahoo, this his first race in our silks pretty happy with the results.
[color=red]Angelic Theory-(I’m your angel)7.5f Gr.3 Tempted St,2yo F,Dirt - Fast, [color=red]7th she didn’t even try came out 7th and just stayed there

The most disastrous day! 
[color=red]My Madelline - 5th in 13.5 furlongs NW3 Allowance for 4yo+ F/M. That’s forgivable, as the speed figure was much higher than she used to have and she’s recovering from an injury.
[color=red]Kew Garden - 5th in 6 furlongs NW3 Allowance for 2yo F. No whip was probably a bad joice here.
[color=red]Belleau Wood - 6th in 12.5 furlongs NW3 Allowance for 3yo F. Too long distance, but she tried hard with a high speed figure.
[color=red]Classical Hightail - 6th in 13 furlongs Allowance for 3yo, in which [color=red]Get A Life was 7th. Distance much too long for the first one, but the second filly didn’t even try at all. She hates turf, it seems.
[color=red]Mattie North - 8th in 7.5 furlongs Tempted Stakes for 2yo F. That’s our recently claimed filly by Point Given. She’s recovering from an injury too, so the great sire didn’t help.
Not a bad day. Only sent a few out.

[color=red]Dixieland Swing was second in her 5.0f NW3 Allowance for 3yo+
[color=red]Thunderball was fourth in the 7.0f Gr. 2 Sir Byrne Hart Stakes for 3yo+
Finished with 3(1)-0-2-0-1(1) and $21,000 prizemoney.
Another good day here, only 5 out but all ran very well.
After being 4th last out in the Miss Grillo we took a step back to a non-winners with Magnanimity. She was dead game on the lead to win by a nose. 1st/6.
We threw Rolemodel into an ambitious spot today after he broke his maiden last time out. Today he tried graded stakes company in the G3 Nasua and made a very good effort to finish 3rd/14.
Simple Hour has put it together. She came back today in a turf NW3 after breaking her maiden last out. She went to the lead and didn’t look back, 1st/6.
Torrid Display keeps on running well. Was 2nd/6 in a turf starter.
Watagan Wildcat also came home 1st/6 in a turf NW3 today.
Only had two runners out today. [color=blue]Fallen From Mercy ran 6/7 in a 9f turf allowance but it was his first start in two months. Really hard finding races for this guy that aren’t stakes races. [color=red]Rainy Day Morning surprised by running away with a 13.5f dirt allowance. Been waiting a while for this girl to wake up, especially with her fine pedigree. Note to self - keep her going long on dirt. Thanks to her today’s haul was $22k, which goes a long way towards getting other deserving runners into their races.
