Mostly ouch.
[color=red]Jade Fox ran 1st/6 in her OA.
[color=green]Red Dog ran 1st/6 in his OA.
[color=green]Legal Strategy was 2nd/7 in an OA.
[color=blue]Massacre managed a 4th/6 in an NW3.

Mostly good - over half our entries came home in the top 3. The ones who didn’t, though, were nowhere.
Wins:
[color=red]Three Ballads (Cryptic Ballad) in a NW2.
[color=blue]Privileged Intel (2yo, Strider) in a NW3.
[color=blue]Thrill A Sec (2yo, Lasting Spirit) in a NW3.

[color=blue]Usain Bolt (Strider) in the Cross Roads Breeders’ Stakes.
[color=red]Inner Light (Crystal Rainbow) in the Lymerick Breeders’ Stakes.
Places:
[color=red]Perfect Princess (Worth My While) in a NW3.
[color=red]Calanais (Cross Roads) in the Lymerick Breeders’ Stakes.
Shows:
[color=red]Ella Fitzgerald (TakeMeToHollywood) in an OA.
[color=blue]Rischioso (2yo, Worth My While) in a maiden.
[color=red]Cadbury (2yo, Highland Wizard) in a NW2.
[color=blue]Damon Bradley (No Duplicate) in the Rainbow Quest Breeders’ Stakes.
Still amazed I won 2 of the 3 Breeders’ Series races this week, and my ponies went 1-2 in one of them (didn’t fancy either for the win, to be honest, given the competition ).
Woohoo best day for Fox Run since i started!
Wins
Most excited about [color=blue]Crafty Magic(Must Be Magic) in the Gr. 1 Cigar Mile, his first stakes run but I had a good feeling about his times. He’s on lease from Diamond Dale for another 9 months so hopefully I can get some cash outta this fella
[color=green]America Forever in an OA, boy just keeps getting faster! No lower than 3rd for his 5 starts since hitting the steeples. I have 3 Kindlehope ponies in my stables and I would love some more!
[color=green]Ch. Sonik Dancer in a SC OA, back to form after I hastily changed his equips for his last race and also earned his Champion title. He has very nice times and will be aimed at stakes soon
[color=green]No Alibis in a NW3. Although he won I think this boy will struggle in OA’s, I am not confident I have pegged down his preferences
[color=blue]Oh So Famous in a NW3 this is another one on lease from Diamond Dale. I reckon this guy has a big future on the turf and may not even be mature yet
Places
[color=green]Ch. Grecian Devil came in just after stablemate Sonik Dancer, reliably on the board
[color=green]Deign To Tempt in a NW1, think this boy is just starting to come good. He had the lead early but the 17f was just too much. He will be aimed at a sprint next time round
[color=red]Saramenha in a NW3 for 2yo, well behind the leader. I wanted her on dirt but there’s not a whole lot of them in Aus, I really hope she has some growing left
[color=green]Ch. Take A Punt in the Gr.1 Adelaide Cup, just glad some of the big players were in Japan, he was a full 20 seconds behind the winner. But man does watching the race play-by-play give me a heart attack, thought he was 5th!
[color=red]Kingston Coup in an OA she is my favourite filly by far, this girl has just hit her stride. Only 1 second behind the winner and on the board every time with these equips. I will be aiming her at the Gallant Fox stakes late December just because her grandsire is Gallant Fox. Seems appropriate
[color=red]Rebel Yell in an OA for Fillies after a long rest, this was her first race for me. She was a mere 0.010 seconds behind the talented mare Ch. Airgead Dra
Well only sent out 1 horse today and not only did he run well he was only off the lead by a head all the way to the finish where he was only off by a nose! Almost!!
[color=blue]Whatsinaname in the Remsen BS for 2yo turf 2nd by a nose with a SF of 197
This also brought him up to champion status! My only 2yo to make it this year.
Not one person even picked him to make top 3, I’m so pleased with this guy.
13 runners sent out, our Breeders’ Series runners didn’t do well, however, our other runners did
3 Wins
[color=red]GCh. Big Dawn, (4yo, Rumor Has It x Sudden Success) 1/7 in an OA at Aqueduct. Her 8th win this year, all coming in her last 9 starts. This was her first non-Stakes win this year and the earnings from this win made her the 9th Starfish horse to go over $1m for this year. She will probably have one more race this year before being Retired to Stud.
[color=red]Classic Red Line, (2yo, I’m A Classic x A Fine Red Line) 1/10 in the G2 Demoiselle Stakes at Aqueduct. Apart from her first race, she has been very consistent and has 2 wins and 2 seconds in her last 4 races. She is 7 points away from achieving Champion status and may get one more chance to become the second Starfish 2YO to achieve this in their 2016 2YO year.
[color=blue]NCh. Lucky Streak, (4yo, Rahy x Wild Streak) 1/10 in the G1 Japan Cup in Japan. His 5th win this year, 4 of which have been in International $1m+ G1 races. His current earnings for this year are just under $5m. Current plans are for him to go back to Hong Kong for the Hong Kong Cup and then to Aqueduct for the Omaha Breeders’ Stakes, before being Retired to Stud for next year.
2 Seconds
[color=red]Beautiful Rumor, (3yo, Rumor Has It x Sunset Beauty) 2/6 in an NW3 at Woodbine. Continues to run in and out, however is only 4 points away from achieving Champion status.
[color=red]Ch. Lupe Valez, (3yo, Point Given x Lucky Lucky Lady) 2/11 in the G1 Cigar Mile at Aqueduct. Has performed very well in 7 of her last 8 races with 3 wins, 3 seconds and 1 third. With the points from this race she has achieved Champion status.
1 Third
[color=blue]GCh. In The Navy, (5yo, Man O’War x Dayatthebeach) 3/10 in the G1 Japan Cup in Japan, behind winner and stable companion [color=blue]NCh. Lucky Streak. This pushed his career earnings to over $3m. Current plans are for him to join [color=blue]NCh. Lucky Streak in Hong Kong and then he, too, will be Retired to Stud for next year.
2 Fourths
[color=blue]Ch. Major’s Insight, (5yo, Major’s Flight x Highland Sage) 4/9 in an OA at Woodbine.
[color=blue]Ch. Glorious Victory, (2yo, Magic Glory x Decisive Victory) 4/6 in the G3 Rainbow Quest Breeders’ Stakes at Aqueduct. Disappointing performance, especially as he was the second highest ranked horse on the qualifiers list to actually run in this race
Also Ran
[color=blue]Shiloh’s Hill, (3yo, Worth the Wait x Whistlin’ Dixie) 5/10 in the G1 Adelaide Cup in Australia. He remains 7 points away from achieving Champion status and is about $20K short of $1m in earnings.
[color=red]Ch. Unbridled Run, (3yo, Strider x Unbridled Passion) 5/10 in the G1 Doomben Cup in Australia.
[color=blue]Ch. Casting Couch, (3yo, TakeMeToHollywood x Back Streets) 7/9 in the G3 Cross Roads Breeders’ Stakes at Aqueduct.
[color=red]Saucy Magician, (2yo, Magic Glory x Kinda Sassy) 7/12 in the G3 Demand To Know Breeders’ Stakes at Aqueduct.
[color=red]Ch. Dark Topaz, (3yo, Dark Continent x Topaz) 7/9 in the G3 Pardon Me Mister Breeders’ Stakes at Aqueduct.
Even though our Breeders’ Series runners were disappointing, they will still be entered in the other BS races.
First race day in a year and it was great!
[color=green]Jam and Gear and [color=red]Scantily Clad ran 1st and 2nd in their allowance.
[color=red]Recklass and [color=red]Quietasitskept, took 1st and 3rd respectively in their race, breaking Recklass’s maiden status
[color=red]Dark and Twisty and [color=blue]Political Crisis took a 4th in their races and the rest finished off the board.
[color=red]Delightful Queen ran in 10.0f Allowance for 3yo+ (D) and placed 1st/9. She is such an outstanding runner! We’re definitely moving to stakes with this one.
[color=red]Champagne On Ice ran in 12.0f Allowance for 3yo+ F/M (SC) and placed 4th/11. Nothing below fourth this year! She’s an outstanding mare as well.
[color=red]Secretsofthesky ran in 6.0f Maiden for 2yo F (D) and placed 10th/13. She’ll be going on holiday for the rest of the year, since she seems to still need some time to be young.
No luck
[color=blue]Gold Tic finished 6th/10 in Gr. 2 Remsen Stakes for 2yo,
and [color=red]She’s Outlawed finished 5th/11 in Gr. 3 Demand To Know Breeders’ Stakes for 2yo F.
I only sent one horse out, but for my first week it wasn’t bad at all!
[color=green]French Riviera was second in his NW3.
Welcome to the game and congratulations on a second place in your first race!
Pretty pleased with today. Not as good as it could have been but not bad at all either.
[color=blue]Nightwatchman (NF) won the Rainbow Quest Breeders Stakes following in big brother, Sponsored’s, hoof steps.
Stablemate, [color=blue]Fight The Twilight (NF), finished not far behind in second.
[color=red]
Fightin’ The Smoke (NF) won the Pardon Me Mister Breeders Stakes.
Stablemate, [color=red]Black Star (NF), didn’t place.
[color=blue]Sponsored (NF), finished 2nd in the Cross Roads Breeders Stakes.
Stablemate, [color=blue]Darknight (NF), finished right behind him in 3rd.
[color=red]Winning Secret (Secretariat), finished 4th in the Lymerick Breeders Stakes.
[color=red]
Hopes Fight (NF) had a decent go in the Cigar Mile finishing a respectable 3rd.
[color=blue]
Crowned In Dreams finished 2nd in the Japan Cup. I’m happy with the finish, but I was really hoping this guy would get a few more stake wins and get studified. I really wanted a Bold Ruler stud in my barn. He has 4 stake wins and 10 stake 2nds and 10 stake 3rds, LOL.
Wow! Congrats on your Nightfight foals doing so well!
Thanks!
Another good day at Ivy Creek:
WINS
[color=blue]Ch. Ducati (2yo, Magic Cross) got his 4th stakes win today in the G2 Remsen Stakes. Over halfway to stud qualifications! I hope he stays on this talent streak. Maybe even until May…?
[color=red]Ch. Afterglow (4yo, Affirmed) won the G3 BTC Sprint down in Australia. This mare is consistently good, and she’s slowly creeping towards a more fitting title.
PLACES
[color=blue]Coup d’Etat (2yo homebred, Ring of Fire) had his first start (because he is a tiny 14.3hh), and placed second. That’s a good way to start!
[color=red]Queen Catarina (2yo homebred, King David) finished 2nd in the G2 Demoiselle Stakes - her first stakes attempt.
4THS
[color=red]Ch. Coquette (2yo homebred, Bellagio) finished 4th in the G3 Demand To Know Breeders’ Stakes. She had perhaps the toughest race of the day, so I am not unhappy with her 4th at all. Thankfully this was our worst finish of the day!
Also, I am super happy to see our leased out homebred 2yo colt, FIGHT THE TWILIGHT, do so well with Holly. I’m glad to see him living up to his pedigree, and making both mom AND dad proud!
Thanks. I think he’s going to be super neat next year. Wanna sell?
