11/26

sent out only 6 not expecting a whole lot with the few races available but had a really good day, all placing 1-4th! And all girls to boot!

[color=red]Devils Grace-10.0f Allow,3yo+,Dirt - Slow, [color=red]3rd came out of the 9th PP into 3rd moved around a horse into second at 6f only to fall back to 3rd at the finish.
[color=red]Double Shot-5.0f Allow,3yo+ F,Turf - Slow, [color=red]1st hadn’t been doing much lately, so was very happy with this again slow track! She came out of 1st PP like her tail was on fire and won by 2 lengths.
[color=red]Wasn’t Me-7.5f Allow,4yo+,SC - Slow, [color=red]4th came out of the 7th PP and ran 3rd most of the race falling back to 4th by a nose at the finish.
[color=red]Fools Fruit-(foolhardy)6.0f Maid,2yoF,Dirt - Slow, [color=red]2nd still figuring her out so was really happy with this finish.
[color=red]On The Catwalk-10.0f Allow,4yo+,Dirt - Slow, [color=red]4th came out in 4th and stayed there.
[color=red]Nightlit Haze-(Nightfight)8.0f Gr. 2 Demoiselle St,2yo F,Dirt - Slow, [color=red]2nd she fought the whole way with another NF sibling for the lead just losing by a nose, surprising on a slow track!
6(1)-1-2(1)-1-2 $78,250

This time our boys decided to show how to run, and the fillies were just admiring them…

[color=blue]Opinionator - 1st/11 in 9 furlongs NW1 Allowance for 2yo, in which [color=red]Pony Girl was 10th. She was maybe a bit overloaded with equipment.
[color=blue]Bartimaeus - 1st/8 in 10 furlongs Allowance for 4yo+, in which [color=red]Ch. Private Party was 3rd and our new mare [color=red]A Revolution was 5th.
[color=red]Get A Life - 2nd/6 in her first steeplechase race, 12 furlongs NW3 Allowance for 3yo F, in which [color=red]Southern Saga was 4th.
[color=red]My Madelline - 4th/6 in 5.5 furlongs NW2 Allowance for 4yo+. Maybe because the track was slow. Or the distance too short.
[color=red]Golden Moon - 11th/14 in 8 furlongs Allowance for 4yo+. She used to win on wet turf, so I don’t know why she was so unhappy about the slow track today.

We also claimed a promising 2yo filly [color=red]Jorghinia, daughter of bronze ranked Indy’s Liquer (by A.P. Indy), and NCh. Boldness Shows who is the sire of our very succesful 2yo filly Shadow In The Dark, also recently claimed. Jorghinia should be a good sprinter on dirt.

A very good day at Oakwood Farms.

After showing lots of consistincy in OA’s we decided to give Beautiful Disaster a shot again at stakes company and he put in a very good showing today to finish 3rd/14 in the G1 Cigar Mile.

Cassandra put in a very good effort in the G3 Demand to Know Breeder’s Stakes, finishing 3rd/6.

Clicker is Quicker got back on the winning path today. Wired the field in a turf OA, 1st/12.

Heart Thunder got back into form today, winning a steeplechase OA for fillies and mares. 1st/7.

Succubus finished a nice 2nd/14 in a turf OA for fillies and mares.

Tiz A Damsel got her second lifetime win today in a turf non-winners of two for 3yo fillies. 1st/6.

Turcanna woke up today. He’d been putting in some dismal efforts and not training well, but recently his training improved and we saw the results today with a win in a Turf OA. 1st/14.

Really good day today on a couple of levels.

[color=red]Fake Number (Nightfight) broke her maiden today. Yay for this pretty girl. :slight_smile:

BC Juvi Fillies winner, [color=red]Black Heartbreak (Nightfight), went on to win the Demoiselle Stakes. Nightfight sibling, [color=red]Nightlit Haze, finished 2nd.

[color=blue]Set The Stride (Strider) won is first stakes in the Remsen Stakes.

BC Juvi winner, [color=blue]Sponsored (Nightfight), has gone on to win the Rainbow Quest Breeders Stakes.  [color=blue]Jett Black (Nighfight), finished 3rd.

[color=red]Fightin’ The Smoke (Nightfight) has won her fourth stakes in a row in the Demand To Know Breeders Stakes. Nighfight sibling, Glow In The Dark, finished 2nd.

***Nightfight is now to a very high 10.5 gold 2yo sire rating.  We are still milling over possibilities for next breeding season so please let us know if your are considering him for next breeding season so we may plan for our own broodmare band.  Trades will be considered.

KHF had great day following Turkey Day!

[color=red]Suppressive broke her maiden (woot!) and [color=red]Go For Broke fought her for it in their distance NW1.

I think we’ll give [color=red]Spectacular Love a shot at SC, and hope that we didn’t miss our chance. She’s been lightly raced this year, but I can’t quite tell if she’s bored or just ready for retirement.  She loped along for place by a nose to the boys in her 13f NW3.

[color=red]Sardonyx, [color=blue]Set on Fire, [color=red]Symmetrical, [color=blue]The Fire Bringer and [color=blue]Tornado Alley are my random assortment of 2 y/os and 3 y/os that finished off the board this time. Maybe I’ll bait them with more carrots, next time. ;D

[color=blue]Peak of Perfection (No Duplicate) held off a really impressive field to win the GI Japan Cup and brought home a nice paycheck. I’d been planning this move for a while after his performance in the GI Turf Classic Invitational, but was a bit worried he was past his prime after a few finishes off the board. The plan is to sit back and enjoy this one, and see where he goes, possibly SC in the spring. I’m hoping and praying he’s thinking studly thoughts in a year or two. :slight_smile:
