11/17

Well…that was typical. Two really good days and then everyone went on holiday without notice. Sent out 10 and only 2 hit the board (ouch!).

[color=blue]Glorioso ran 2nd/6 in his OA.
[color=blue]War Letters bounced back from a bombing in the BC Juv. Turf to run 3rd/11 in an OA, trying dirt again.

8 runners sent out.

2 Winners
[color=red]Knight’s Match, (2yo, Chivalry x Match Me Up) 1/13 in an NW3 at Woodbine. Her second consecutive win.
[color=red]GCh. Princess Kaiulani, (4yo, Worth the Wait x Whistlin’ Dixie) 1/6 in an OA at Woodbine. She will have one, possibly two more runs this year before being retired to stud.

1 Second
[color=red]Ch. Finally, (5yo, Alley Cat x Foxfire) 2/7 in an OA in Australia. This earned her Champion status.

Also ran
[color=red]DashingCoronaRose, (2yo, Worth my While x By By Birdie) 6/9 in an Clm at Woodbine.
[color=blue]GCh. Lucky Sunset, (5yo, Red Sunset x Lucky Lucky Lady) 5/11 in an OA at Aqueduct. Still needs one more win to be stud-qualified.
[color=blue]Mr. Cowboy, (2yo, Turn n’Burn x A Firm Thing) 9/11 in an OA at Woodbine.
[color=blue]Ch. Keyboard, (3yo, War Chant x Lady of Mystery) 7/10 in the G2 Yallambee Classic in Australia. A disappointing performance after his last two races.
[color=blue]GCh. Cup O’ Tea, (5yo, Stagehand x Whistlin’ Dixie) 8/11 in the G2 A.D. Hollindale Stakes in Australia. Still needs one more win to be stud-qualified.

I’m really happy about [color=red]Alchaasibiyeh, my only Alley Cat filly. She earned her Champion title today, with a 2nd place in open allowance steeplechase.

Also ran 2yo filly [color=red]Hadriana, and she finished only 6th/11 in her NW1. But her speed figure was really good.

I sent out an army of 13:

WINS

[color=red]Foxy Ruby (5yo, Gallant Fox) won her her OA.  She has never run less than second since I brought her home recently.  Goal is to get her a title before retiring, as she is from a lovely gold-rated dam, but I’d love for her to prove herself as well.

[color=red]With A Fleurish (3yo, homebred, Gimme A Shot) won her starter allowance with a massive speed factor of 209.

[color=red]Queen Catarina (2yo, homebred, King David) won her OA.  I still haven’t gotten this gal into a stakes race, which is unfortunate.  That will certainly be the goal, as she has won 6 of 7 starts.

[color=red]Lovespell (3yo, homebred, Magic Cross) won her NW3 by 8 1/2 lengths, earning a massive speed record of 228 and a speed record.  Hooray!

[color=red]Ch. Coquette (2yo, homebred, Bellagio) won the ungraded Huntington Stakes, beating leased-out stablemate FIGHT THE TWILIGHT by a nose.  She is qualified for the Breeder’s Series, and may run in that next.

PLACES

[color=blue]Laudri (2yo, Point Given) ran 2nd in his claimer, but did not get claimed.  He likes earning money, but isn’t a fan of the winner’s circle.

[color=green]Irish Muldoon (4yo, Danzig) ran 2nd in his OA over hurdles.  He likes the longer distance.

[color=red]Xcientist (2yo, homebred, Crystal Rainbow) ran 2nd in her first ever start, a maiden.  Not bad!

[color=red]Ch. Nicole’s Majic (2yo, A.P. Indy) ran 2nd in the G3 Valley Stream Stakes, beaten only by a nose.  I’ve lucked out with a lot of quality 2YO fillies this year.

[color=red]Ch. Always Ladylike (3yo, Giant’s Causeway) ran 2nd in the G1 SA Derby down in Aus.  She was the only foal I got from her dam, so it’s a blessing that she has so much talent.

SHOWS

[color=blue]Natomas (2yo, Harvard Bound) ran 3rd in his NW3.

ALSO RANS:

[color=red]Worth A Treasure ran 5th in her NW2.
[color=blue]Nazgul ran 11th in his NW3.  ::)

Only my rockstar today.

[color=blue]Ch. Alfresco ran in 6.0f Dirt Ungr. Huntington Stakes for 2yo and placed 4th/10. This is his worst placing yet! As you can imagine, I’m still VERY happy with this, considering his lowest placing is one 4th out of 13 starts.  :wink:

He’s going home now for a rest, because he probably performed a little below his level today because I may been pushing him too hard.
