11/12

Not a bad day here, only sent 3 runners out.

Lumberjack (I’m Your Angel) won in a 2yo turf allowance. I think its time to try another stakes with this boy, he consistently does well

Ace Of Hearts ran 3rd in the Stuyvesant Stakes. I’m happy with that but he has run 3rd in the last 3 stakes races he’s been in! It would be nice to see him push a touch harder

Trippi Bree ran a disappointing 5th, I tried her on a shorter distance, clearly she is a long distance runner

No wins but a pretty good day overall! Sent out 7 and 5 came back with checks.

2yo’s
[color=red]On Dove’s Wings (I’m Your Angel) continues to improve and ran 2nd/6 in a NW3.
[color=blue]St. Elmo’s Fire (War Chant) was 7th/13 in his NW3.

[color=green]Rite of Passage ran 4th/6 in his NW3.
[color=red]Anne Boleyn, whom we just purchased from Stormy Island, finished 2nd/6 in a NW3 in her first start for us.
[color=green]Bold Personality was 3rd/6 in an OA.
[color=red]Dark Charm continues to puzzle with a 5th/10 in a Maiden.
[color=green]Mulligan ran 2nd/7 in a NW3 in his SC debut.

Slightly disappointing results, but with a one nice surprise.

[color=blue]Bartimaeus - 1st/6 in 10 furlongs NW3 Allowance for 4yo+. After taking only second places, he finished first and with a very good speed figure. Let’s hope that he continues to improve.
[color=red]Memories of Home - 3rd/9 in  8.5 furlongs Maiden for 2yo F. That’s a very good result for her.
[color=red]Ch. The Woman In Black - 8th/14 in 9 furlongs Turnback the Alarm Stakes for 3yo+ F/M, in which [color=red]Ch. Love Signal was 9th. I would expect a better result from my champions  but their speed figures were the same as those of the winners so they did fight hard.
[color=red]Golden Moon - 8th/11 in 10 furlongs Allowance for 3yo+. Apparently the boys were better in this race.
[color=red]That’sMyPointBaby - 8th/8 in 7 furlongs Allowance for 4yo+ F/M. She was so unhappy about running in this race that we should probably move on to breeding. She will meet  ICh. Ring of Fire, which should produce a nice dirt classic runner.

Better than last week.

Fabulously High came in 3rd against the boys.
Capricious One was 3rd in his OA.  Stablemate Notachanceinheck won the race.
Things Like Fat finally earned a paycheck–and won his OA.
Forgotten Road hung on for a 3rd in her OA. Lonely at the Top was 6th.
Lost Opportunity was 6th in her maiden.
Soupy came in 4th in her Gr. 3.  Long Island 88 was outclassed, finishing 10th.
Amazonian Spirit came in 2nd in his Gr. 3.

Not as good a day as we’ve been having lately but still decent overall!

We waited and waited for Actinella to grow up and when she finally reached 15hh we figured it was a good a time as any for her to make her debut. She’d already been at the track for 3 weeks getting fitter and getting used to different riders and equipment. We were very happy to see she came home 1st/9. I think she’s only our second two year old to break her maiden first out this year.

Betrothed made her debut in stakes company today. After 3 starts this year and 3 wins we figured we’d give a stake a try and see what happens! She ran great in the G3 Turnback the Alarm to finish 2nd/14. Very please with this girl!

Double Luck had been running so wonderfully lately we were a bit disappointed in her 7th place finish today in the G3 Turnback the Alarm. She was coming off a few weeks rest at the farm so she probably wasn’t sharp for this. If we can we’ll put her back in an OA to try and get her confidence back up.

The One In Front ran very well against winners today after breaking her maiden last time out. 2nd/6.
