10/5

Good day.  Just two out.

Pointed Question was 2nd in his NW1.
Demand the Best earned his 9th SW today when he won the Gr.2 Kelso Breeder’s Cup.  Really glad to see him winning again.

Sent 10 out today, some good some bad. Guess thats pretty normal!

2yos
Approved Rumor (Rumor Has It) is my newbie, purchased from the annual auction. He ran a disappointing 8th… But hey, it was his first race

Angelius (I’m Your Angel) ran 3rd in his allowance. He seems to like 3rd, i’ll have to break that habit.

Plagioclause (Crystal Rainbow) was a disappointing 10th. Need to figure this guy out

Run Jenny Run (What’s Your Point) ran a solid 2nd, pleased with him!

Victorina (A.P. Indy) ran 2nd in her allowance. She’s placed top 2 in every turf race she’s run. Time to start looking for a stakes race for her.

3yo+
Careless Whisper (Alydar) ran 2nd/10 in her SC allowance. Thinking about running her in the breeders cup

Doubleornothing (A.P. Indy) disappointed me with a 9th. Maybe he needs to switch to SC… Either way he’s in my auction if anyone wants a challenge

Six Point O (Magic Glory) ran an awesome 3rd. He is really liking the SC

Sunday Paper (Sunday Silence) rocked it, WINNING his SC allowance. He has won every SC he’s ever run, maybe time to look at a stakes?

Last is Deep Blue Sea (I’m Your Angel) who was the highlight, running 2nd in the Kelso Breeders’ Cup. Very happy with how he’s started running. Big change considering I entered him in a $10,000 claimer just 3 races ago! Thank goodness no one claimed him

Sent out 10 came home with 11, got a cute claimer, out of the 11 Only 5 didn’t bring home some kind of check.

A decent day I’d say.

Corporate Card was 3rd/11 in a dirt NW1.

After running dismally the last few months on the flat we switched Seeking Sadler to the hurdles and she seemed to take to them pretty well with a 4th/14 finish in an OA against males.

The One In Front finished 2nd/11 in a dirt NW1.

DontCallMeSue came back from 2 weeks rest and keeps on rolling with a win in a dirt OA. He’ll try for his second stakes win next out in the Discovery.

This was my first day of racing on here, and it didn’t go exactly how I was planned. Of course, as they say, Rome wasn’t built in a day.

[color=red]Flashdance placed 7/11 in her first race.

Not bad 1st day out for just sending horses out with very little prep: 10-0-1-3-2 $24,500 - 60% in the money, decent enough although I wish the money was a little higher

We have some stayers here. And we repaired the budget a bit…

[color=red]Golden Moon - 1st in 9 furlongs NW3 Allowance for 4yo+, closely followed by our stallion [color=blue]Bartimaeus who finished 2nd. He may need slightly longer distance.
[color=red]Brief Contact - 2nd in 14 furlongs NW2 Allowance for 3yo, in which [color=red]Unseen Sky was 3rd and [color=red]Melodramatic was 4th. They all got beaten by Silver Pond Farm’s stallion Johnny Cash.
[color=red]My Madelline - 3rd in  14.5 furlongs NW3 Allowance for 4yo+.

We sent 5 out today with mixed results, but still very proud!

House of Fortune- came home with a 3rd place finish in the [color=red]Grade 2Kelso Breeders Cup! This is our first time placing in a stakes race

Chasqui Mistress & Unbridled Ella- two very touchy fillies that I played around with equipment and distance changes during training; both came home in 4th place, which was an improvement on Ella’s last two races of coming home dead last, and Chasqui’s 10 other races. I recieved positive remarks the last few times they’ve trained, so hopefully this shows we’re headed in the right direction!

Love Apple- finished 7th in her allowance; I’m not quite sure she liked the longer distance.

Illuminating Speed- finished last in the Kelso, poor lad.
