10/17

My kids DO possess the capacity to run straight!

WIN
[color=blue]Candied Roses (2yo, What’s Your Point) finally broke his maiden in a NW3. I think he’s been waiting for the distance races.
[color=blue]Eteelya won his NW3. Considering he hasn’t hit the board since June, this made me very happy!
[color=blue]Rock Stardom took his OA. He’s now won 4 of 9 starts this year. I think I’ll try him in a stakes next time.

SHOW
[color=red]R

Pretty decent day here! Sent 9 out

Wins
[color=red]Trippi Bree (4yo, Crystal Rainbow) in a Sc allowance. Her 3rd win in a row!

2nds
[color=blue]Face The Fire (2yo, I’m Your Angel) in a NW3 allowance.
[color=blue]GCh. New Rule (4yo, Spectacular Bid) in the Mohawk Stakes. Happy to see that he is liking blinkers
[color=blue]Angelius (3yo, I’m Your Angel) in the Hudson Stakes. He is qualified for a few Breeders Cup races… I’m undecided about entering him though. We’ll have to see how he recovers from this race first

3rds
[color=blue]Ch. Nobleton (3yo, Point Given) in the Mohawk Stakes against his stablemate. This boy is consistent! He is also a Champion now

The remaining runners weren’t so exciting

Blah! A couple hit the board, my stakes ponies might as well have run backwards!

I could bear hug almost every runner in the stable this year, if only they were real…

3YO [color=blue]Cuchulain (Irish River) won his NW2 with an astounding speed factor of 227.  Now that we know he likes distance turf, he’s shaping into a monster, or so it seems.  I need to find this boy a stakes race!

3YO homebred [color=blue]Ch. Allinvain (Worth My While) won his second stakes race in a row, the ungraded Mohawk Stakes, proving that his G1 win last time out was no fluke.  He’s undefeated on turf so far.  He also earned his champion title today, so hooray for that!

Leased 4YO mare, [color=red]Kissing Point (Point Given) ran 2nd in her first stakes start - the ungraded Ticonderoga Stakes.  She lost by only a nose, despite the wet track.  I’m happy with that!

3YO [color=blue]Ch. Exit Poll (Irish River) ran 3rd in the G1 Meadow Brook Stakes, in an 8 way photo finish, where everyone was a nose apart.  Madness!  But I’m happy enough with 3rd, as it was a big race.

[color=blue]Ch. Al Mundhir easily won his open allowance on dirt, in which we entered him instead of some big stakes races, after his loss in the Kelso Breeder’s Cup. And then two other also colts ran, but they didn’t impress at all.

10 runners sent out today

2 Winners
[color=blue]Londesborough Boy, (3yo, Lasting Spirit x Painted Desert) 1/10 in the Ung Hudson Stakes at Belmont. He may be headed for the Breeders’ Cup, depending on other entries.
[color=red]Unbridled Run, (3yo, Strider x Unbridled Passion) 1/10 in the G3 Sapphire Stakes in Australia.

2 Seconds
[color=red]Tshotsholoza, (3yo, Moonopoly x Play Those Tunes) 2/6 in an NW3 at Belmont.
[color=red]Ch. White Sand Beach, (3yo, Almost Home x Dayatthebeach) 2/11 in the Ung Iroquois Stakes at Belmont. The points earned in this race gave her enough to get to Champion status. She may be headed to the Breeders’ Cup, depending on her ranking and other entries.

2 Thirds
[color=blue]Bracton, (2yo, Rumor Has It x Lady of Honour) 3/8 in an NW3 at Belmont.
[color=red]Ch. Play My Game, (5yo, Magic Glory x Heiress) 3/10 in the Ung Ticonderoga Stakes at Belmont. She may be headed to the Breeders’ Cup, depending on her ranking and other entries.

1 Fourth
[color=red]Ch. Last Nights Jitter, (4yo, Major’s Flight x Las Vegas Jitters) 4/10 in the G1 Meadow Brook Stakes at Aqueduct. She will definitely be entered in either the Breeders’ Cup SC Distaff or the Breeders’ Cup SC Distaff Endurance.

Also Rans
[color=blue]GCh. Defense Secretary, (6yo, Secretariat x FlaminPossibility) 8/10 in the Ung Mohawk Stakes at Belmont.
[color=blue]Ch. Major’s Insight, (5yo, Major’s Flight x Highland Sage) 5/10 in the G1 Meadow Brook Stakes at Aqueduct.
[color=blue]Magic Roundabout, (2yo, Magic Glory x What’s That About) 9/10 in the G1 Visionary Stakes in Australia.

Two runners today

[color=blue]Crafty Magic is on lease and just broke his maiden, his times only seem to be getting better

[color=red]Akubra came 4th in an OA, probably the equips… I hope

[color=red]Delightful Queen ran in 10.5f Allowance for 3yo (D) and placed 2nd/6. She’s been in the top three of 60% of her races, so I think she has real potential.

[color=blue]Evil Rumors ran in 6.0f Ungr. Hudson Stakes for 3yo+ (D) and placed 4th/10. He wires allowances but seems to struggle in stakes. Not going to argue with this performance, though!

Well doen to #New Rule and Unbridled Run
I always thought she was stakes mateiral
