10/12

well sent out 14 horses today and was really disappointed , only 7 made any money, and my 2nd best 2yo just blew off her stakes race, her stablemate who I just threw in last min was 6th just out of reach.

Good day here, just allowance races but 3 out and 3 in the money.

Irish Jazz (Irish River) came 2nd in her career debut in a 5.0f NW3 Allowance for 2yo’s.  Good start!
Hideyourloveaway (Foolhardy) was 4th in his first start of the year in a 10.5f NW3 Allowance for 3yo+.  He’s 4 and lightly raced but maybe we can get a rousing performance from him yet.
Goin’ To The Moon(Sunday Silence) had a lot of firsts today, first start/win for us(leased from Candi Cane), his first start of the year AND his first career win winning his 8.0f NW2 Allowance for 4yo+.  Happy with that. :slight_smile: Hopefully he is a late bloomer and has a lot more to give.

Results: 3-1-1-0-1 :slight_smile: I accept.

It’s been a while since I visited the forums, mostly because Real Life has become extremely busy/difficult but partially because my horses have not been doing all that well this year. Thankfully I have a few consistent horses that make sure I’m not completely broke each week (::)) but now I’m at a loss as to what to do with one of them.

[color=red]Fleet Hope was my only runner today and she made her outing a winning one, taking a 16f turf allowance for 4YO+ and posting another speed record. I feel I’m not letting her reach her full potential by keeping her out of stakes races (she’s won six times this year and placed in her only stakes race), but my stable’s literally going from paycheck to paycheck and I’m not sure if I want to risk entering her in a low level stakes race when I can use the entry fee for other runners (who most likely won’t earn that back, le sigh). So…opinions?

Maybe sell off a few you want to part with and try her in a G-3 first see how she does, and just keep looking for the higher allowance races for your reg runners. That’s what I had to do for years, fortunately for me this is my best season. Or find someone willing to lease cheaply some consistent allow level horses to at least bring in some cash. Hope this helps, Carole

Awful.  Just awful.  12 out and the best we could manage was a 3rd and a couple of 4ths and 5ths.

Didn’t have many out today but still a decent day overall.

Alabama Tea finished 2nd/12 in a dirt NW2 against the boys.

Beautiful Disaster finished a nice 3rd/14 in a Dirt OA. In the same race Outlander threw in a random clunker, finishing 7th/14.

Kiss For Luck finally got there and broke her maiden today over fences. 1st/6.

We had our 2yo’s running and they were quite good. Also, our 3yo created filly which doesn’t really like to race, so it was good to see her placing even if the race wasn’t big. Maybe she will get fit in time.

[color=red]Alchaasibiyeh - 1st in 5.5 furlongs Maiden for 2yo F.
[color=blue]Opinionator - 3rd in 6.5 furlongs Cowdin Stakes for 2yo in the field of 13 horses.
[color=red]Get A Life - 3rd in 9.5 furlongs NW2 Allowance for 3yo. That’s really good for her.
[color=blue]Pacific Fighter - 4th in 7 furlongs NW1 Allowance for 2yo.

Two out of three in the money.

After a few months off at the barn [color=green]Lachlan Steven made his return to the track a winning one taking 1st prize in his SC claimer. Stalemate [color=blue]Rumored Heart chased him home in 2nd.  :slight_smile:
