10/10

Well better day than we’ve had lately.though my filly Nightlit haze seems to be off her game. Maybe time for a rest at home again.

wins
[color=blue]Pride of Hollywood  in 10 furlongs NW3 Allowance for 3yo+, by a nose, guess he likes disance now
[color=blue]Scooter Blues in 9.5 furlongs NW3 Allowance for 4yo+, a $1k project pony, winning by 4 1/4 lengths
[color=red]Sheza Firework (chivalry) in 8 furlongs NW2 Allowance for 2yo F

Place
[color=blue]Ikari in 7.5 furlongs NW3 Allowance for 3yo, another $1k project pony
[color=blue]Height Of Darkness in 14 furlongs Allowance for 3yo+, surprising me that he likes the distance!

Show
[color=red]Julies Turn (harvard bound) in 7 furlongs Claiming ($20,000) for 2yo F,she stays with us , her first ever earn!
[color=red]In The Fast Lane in 14.5 furlongs NW3 Allowance for 3yo+ F/M, guess another one that likes some disance
[color=green]Franklin in the 12 furlongs Lawrence Realization Stakes for 3yo, really happy to see him earning some money, he was an expensive horse that i had to geld.

4th and 5th places
[color=red]Fools Friut in 13 furlongs Allowance for 3yo, the only filly in the race
[color=red]Seduce to Succeed (hope to succeed) in 5.5 furlongs NW2 Allowance for 2yo F, another first earn , even if its 5th!

Wow! Amazing day! Finished with 9(9)-2(2)-3(3)-1(1)-0 and $3,060,000 prizemoney.

8.0f Gr. 1 Doncaster Handicap for 3yo+, $2,000,000
[color=red]UNCHARTED was best of three finishing a good second (great prep leading into the Breeders’ Cup). [color=red]TAKE ME HIGHER was fifth. [color=blue]BILLIONAIRE was eighth (probably getting past it - just hasn’t been on form).

12.0f Gr. 1 Australian Derby for 3yo, $2,000,000
[color=red]KOWHAI won with [color=red]ARIDENTE in second and [color=red]GOTTA BE ROYAL in third. All three girls are contesting a Breeders’ Cup race so this is a fantastic lead up. It was an incredible field with a number of Grade One winners including Von Lichtenstein and Sponsored.
Kowhai really just goes from strength to strength - this was her seventh Grade One this year (12th stakes) and her fourth classic win adding to another Derby, an Oaks and a Guineas. Stunning filly!

5.5f Gr. 1 The Galaxy for 3yo+, $1,000,000
[color=blue]TO DIE FOR won his second Grade One. [color=red]STAR SPUN (a lovely 3YO filly) was in second. [color=blue]ABU SIMBEL well outclassed in ninth. Really stoked again with this - To Die For and Star Spun are off to Breeders’ Cup races and it is great to see To Die For get another Grade One with him going off to stud next year.

All in all a fantastic and unexpected day!

Congrats in the Australian Derby, Jason.  That was quite the accomplishment, though, I wish my boy would have stopped staring at your fillies tails! :wink:

Congrats Jason!  I think Von Lich’s NE is going hay-wire and getting low (hopefully)!  He seems to be fine once week and a dud the next. I’m hoping he’ll peak right for the BC Classic though  :wink:

Really nice day with three wins!

[color=red]Alchaasibiyeh, our 3yo Alley Cat filly, finished 1st/6 in a steeplechase open allowance. Winning is not her habit, so it’s always nice to see.
[color=red]Hadriana finished 1st/14 in a maiden for 2yo fillies. This is her 8th race and she didn’t impress until now. I hope that she’s already preparing for the next year.
[color=blue]Sugarbird finished 1st/13 in open maiden for 2yo’s. His 9th race, but previous results were mostly in the money, just winless.

Unfortunately, [color=red]GCh. The Woman In Black finished 7th/14 in her allowance for 4yo+. I wanted to race her next year, but she is not her old self. We’ll see, there are some more races planned for her this year and then maybe breeding.

Thanks guys! It’s always awesome to race your boys. Will miss having the opportunity for a rematch in the BC Classic - realised I only nom’d her for the Distaff!

9 runners sent out, final tune-up races for a number of Breeder’s Cup prospects. No wins but some good performances by many of them.

Breeder’s Cup prospects
[color=blue]Ch First Born Son, (3yo, Ring of Fire x What’s That About) 2/7 in the G3 Lawrence Realization Stakes at Belmont, beaten by a nose.
[color=red]Ch Moony’s Fancy, (3yo, Moonopoly x Fanci Remark) 2/7 in the G3 Pebbles Stakes at Belmont, beaten by 4 lengths.
[color=red]Ch Giant’s Debate, (3yo, Giant’s Causeway x Time’s Debatable) 3/12 in the G2 Gallant Bloom Stakes at Belmont, beaten by two noses.
[color=red]Ch Veiled Dancer, (4yo, Rahy x Fanci Remark) 4/12 in the G2 Gallant Bloom Stakes at Belmont, beaten by three noses.
[color=blue]GCh AndLikeThatHesGone, (4yo, Major’s Flight x Risky Venture) 4/14 in an OA at Woodbine, beaten about 3 lengths.
[color=blue]Star of Wonder, (2yo, Harvard Bound x Wonder’s Miracle) 5/12 in an NW3 at Woodbine, beaten about 5 lengths.
[color=blue]GCh Cup O’ Tea, (5yo, Stagehand x Whistlin’ Dixie) 7/11 in the G1 Doncaster Handicap in Australia, beaten by 2 lengths. He will probably remain in Australia and not go to the Breeder’s Cup.

Others
[color=blue]No Guts No Glory, (3yo, Magic Glory x Risk Away) 4/8 in an NW3 at Belmont.
[color=red]Take Your Chances (Leased), (5yo, Gimme A Shot x Thinking of Dreams) 2/13 in an OA at Belmont.

Meh.

[color=blue]Acapulco Gold ran in 7.0f NW3 Allowance for 3yo (T) and placed 7th/8. Trying to be patient with him. He needs some sort of change.

[color=blue]GoToThe Devil ran in 11.0f Allowance for 4yo+ (SC) and placed 3rd/14.

[color=red]White Picket Fence ran in 8.0f Maiden for 2yo F (D) and placed 8th/14. Still unplaced, but also still at the bottom of her projected height range. Maybe she’s still got some growing to do.
