1/5

Pretty good day, even if we didn’t have 40+ horses out this time. :wink:

WINS:
[color=blue]Mobile Emitter (3yo, A.P. Indy) in a NW1, breaking his maiden.

[color=red]Lost Opportunity (4yo, High Chances) in an OA.

[color=red]Queen’s Fool (4yo, Foolhardy) in an OA.

[color=blue]Privileged Intel (3yo, Strider) in an OA.

[color=red]Apprintice (4yo, Candidate) in the Pro Or Con Handicap.

PLACES:
[color=blue]Legendary Glory (3yo, Robin Hood) in a NW1.

[color=red]Ring of Darkness (4yo, Ring of Fire) in an OA, behind Lost Opportunity.

[color=blue]Whatchagonnado (4yo, Giant’s Causeway) in an OA.

[color=red]Showmethemagic (3yo, Gimme A Shot) in a NW2.

SHOWS:
[color=red]Calanais (5yo, Cross Roads) in an OA.

[color=red]Sent to the Devil (3yo, TakeMeToHollywood) in a NW3.

[color=red]Perfect Timing (5yo, A.P. Indy) in the Pro Or Con Handicap.

[color=blue]Country Store (4yo, Point Given) in the Warwick Stakes.

I’d really like to keep this 38% win percentage that I have now :wink:
Two fillies ran.

3yo [color=red]Belle of Portugal finished 1st/7 in a NW2 allowance, winning by 3 lengths. Great start of the year for this filly!

4yo [color=red]Cabernet was only 11th/14 in her NW2 allowance. I don’t know what went so terribly wrong for her, maybe she needed some more rest.

It’s January, which means the ponies can’t run their way out of a paper bag. 9 out and only 2 on the board.

Delta Demon won his starter allowance. Won’t win an NW2 or NW3…but, we’ll take it.

Reprise held on for 2nd in the Gr. 2 Warwick Stakes.

And that’s all our good news for this week. =)

First runners of the year out today.

[color=blue]Archaeopteryx (Worth My While 4yo) won his OA :slight_smile:

[color=blue]Star Wizard (Highland Wizard 3yo) 2nd in his NW1.

[color=red]In The Loop (As You Wish 4yo) 3rd in her SA.

Another pretty good day today, so many unknown quantities going out it’s just nice to see them in the top 3

14-5-2-3-1 $82,050

[color=blue]I’m Your Eskimo is the one I was most pleased about, 1st/7 in a SC OA, ahead by 4 lengths. I had really high hopes when I bought this boy but he just wasn’t competing on the flat. Looks like everything will be alright though

…and I can’t be bothered with the rest!

I was cheering him on in the Play-By-Play haha, I will be racing his little brother in April

:slight_smile: I hope he runs well for you. Archie’s certainly been very consistent and worth the $5000 I claimed him for :slight_smile:

Well, this was CDS’s first official race day of the season and though we didn’t come home with any wins we had a lot of seconds.  Hopefully things get a little better…

SECONDS:

[color=red]Marley (Devil His Due) in her maiden. Much better attitude this year.  Hope this is her year.

[color=blue]Workitforthemoney (As You Wish) in a NW2.

[color=blue]Hollywood Jazz (Jazz It Up)in a NW3.  He is newly gelded and we are liking the improvement.

[color=red]Fake Number (Nighfight) in an OA. I like to see a good finish for a NF 4yo.

[color=red]Philis  (Foolhardy) in an OA.

THIRDS:

[color=blue]Indy’s Wish  (As You Wish) in a NW2.

[color=red]Romancethedevil  (Gunningdownromance) in a NW3.

[color=red]Swing Jazz  (Jazz It Up) in an OA.

[color=blue]First Devil (Devil His Due) in the G2 Up And Coming Stakes.

Quite a few out - only two notables - Mount St. Helens had her first stakes placing in the San Pasqual against the boys - ran second to Awakened Mage - and Lady of Winter (Seabiscuit out of a Isobella’s Song mare - very closely related to Nch Isobella’s Sea) is starting to wake up a little - ran third in a 6.5 - will stretch her out and see what happens :slight_smile:

I feel like screaming for joy, even though my mind tells me that it’s only January and who knows whatl’l happen down the line, but I just came home from LAX to two wins from two starters so I guess I’m starting out my 2017 season with a bang, xD

Two of my Tiznow ladies, A Dreamy Sonata and Pink Slew, won their respective races, an 8.5f NW3 turf allowance and a 5.5f NW1 dirt allowance. I hope this means they’ll make much better 4YOs than 3YOs, ='D

Wow, what a bad day! Off to a rough start this season  :-\

Sent 15 out, came home with 16 only 4 on the board…

[color=red]I’m Not Alone (3yo, AP Indy) was switched to SC and she liked it running 2nd in a NW1 allowance

[color=red]Gallant Strike (3yo, Smart Strike) ran 3rd right behind I’m Not Alone, he was also just switched to SC. I’m hoping to catch horses that I think will be good SCers earlier this year… Often I wait until they are like 4 to switch and by then their prime may be up!

[color=blue]Little Inclination (3yo, High Chances) ran 4th in a NW2 allowance

[color=blue]Ace Of Hearts (6yo, Highland Magic) ran 4th in the San Pasqual Handicap. I’m so undecided about retiring him to stud… He is only 26 points until his next title so I would really like him to get that before going to stud… Apparently he loves jumping, maybe we’ll try that too

and we claimed [color=red]Rannoch, not for her racing abilities but for her lineage and potential as a brood. She is by GCh. Highland Laird (S) and out of Bank Robber (S) [Black Gold (S)]. Bank Robber has produced some rockin’ foals including GCh. Bashir. I like that Black Gold is in the lineage as well. So she will likely be quickly retired to the breeding shed :slight_smile:

Recently purchased [color=green]Executive Choice went out and snagged a second place in his NW2. We recently picked up a few older geldings in the hopes that they end up earning some money. This was a good start :slight_smile:

Congrats! :slight_smile:

Thanks! I thought you may be happy about that one, since she’s one of your babies :slight_smile:

First race date for a while sent out 2 and a horse I bought just to ply with brings home a win

Ikari in a 6f WET turf ,4+ winning by 3/4 length! Now I know he likes a sloppy track!

Fools Fruit didnt even try finishing 10 out of 12, might retire to the brood are herd

Only sent out 3 runners:-

1 Second
[color=red]Ch. Moony’s Fancy, (4yo, Moonopoly x Fanci Remark) 2/10 in the Ung Pro Or Con Handicap at Santa Anita. Continues her recent record now having finished 1st or 2nd in her last 9 races.

1 Third
[color=blue]Superdocious, (3yo, Worth the Wait x Whistlin’ Dixie) 3/7 in an NW2 at Aqueduct.

Also Ran
[color=blue]Magic Roundabout, (3yo, Magic Glory x What’s That About) 6/10 in the G2 Warwick Stakes in Australia.

I’ve actually driven in a roundabout in Swindon England they nicknamed the magic roundabout :smiley:

Two wins and the rest were clunks, but this was our first stakes score in I couldn’t tell you HOW long!

Although [color=red]Mountain Laurel, freshly turned 3, hit the board for the first time via a win, I had not noticed her leaser last month had entered her in a SC so now she’s permanently switched. Most of my horses who get switched to SC tend to do super well in their debut then promptly bomb if it wasn’t meant to be. Lets hope she can keep it up and make me less grouchy about it.

[color=blue]Jade River won the G2 Warwick Stakes. Nice start to the year!

Got my first win of the year!  :slight_smile:

[color=blue]GoToThe Devil ran in 10.0f Allowance for 4yo+ (SC) and placed 1st/12. Starting the year off right!
Edit: I didn’t even notice, but this win makes him Ch. GoToThe Devil!

[color=red]Champagne On Ice ran in 15.0f Allowance for 4yo+ (SC) and placed 7th/9. Pretty disappointing. Hopefully she didn’t peak last year when I didn’t get to race her much.

We were just looking at a map of that yesterday and going ??????
