1/30

Well, 1 out of 3 isn’t great but it’s better than nothing.

[color=blue]Dizzy Rhythm (3YO, Worth My While x Earth Angel) had a big jump in class for his second start, going into the Ungraded 6f Paumonok Handicap for 3YO on dirt - mostly because I couldn’t find anything else suitable and he was ready to run. He ran a close race and fought his way to 2nd/13. I think with a slightly longer distance he should start coming out on top. Glad his career is getting off to a nice start!

[color=blue]Prince Charming (3YO, A.P. Indy x Von Hollywood) said no thanks to his 5f NW3 on turf. Ran 13th/14. He’s had some good jump trials and hasn’t been competitive on the track in a while, so I may start thinking about moving him to SC.

[color=green]Snowballs Chance (5YO, Spectacular Bid x Sunset Beauty) managed 6th/9 in a claimer and was not claimed. I’ve retired him; he wasn’t earning enough to cover his entry fees and I don’t have a horse who’s able to consistently carry the team any more, so it was kind of a no brainer.

Pretty good day - only the girls went out today.

WIN:
[color=red]Can’t Fool Me (3yo, Foolhardy) in the Sunshine Million Oaks. She’s 2 for 2 this year. :slight_smile:

PLACES:
[color=red]Fire Magic (3yo, Highland Magic) in a NW3.

[color=red]Fool For You (3yo, Foolhardy) in a maiden.

SHOWS:
[color=red]Celtic Crystal (3yo, Crystal Rainbow) in a NW2.

[color=red]Thats Not My Point (3yo, What’s Your Point) in the Palos Verdes Handicap.

FOURTH:
[color=red]Full of Fanfare (3yo, Witness) in a NW2.

[color=red]Inner Light (5yo, Crystal Rainbow) ran 8th/14 and might get retired later this spring.

Winless, although not too bad. I’m starting to think that they race too much recently.

[color=red]Intricate finished 2nd/10 in her NW1, in which [color=red]Cabernet was 5th. Cabernet needs some training probably.

[color=red]Ch. Crownette was 4th/9 in open allowance.

[color=red]GCh. The Woman In Black was 5th/13 in Ungr. Busanda Stakes.

Sent out 10. 1 hit the board. Came home with 11 >.>

Our sole horse to show up was [color=blue]A Knight’s Tale, who ran 3rd/9 in a 30k claimer and stayed home.

I said in the last meet, “No more horses!” so of course a ridiculously pretty specimen is up for a cheap claim and I figured many others would go for her, and better to try and lose then not to try at all! She ended up coming home, haha. We claimed [color=red]Nightfall , a 6yo daughter of Planet Hollywood out of a winning and bronze-ranked Magic Cross mare. We’ll give her one more start going her preferred surface/distance and if she bombs, she’ll head to the shed. I just couldn’t say no to a very pretty Planet Hollywood daughter with a nice name!

NO MORE HORSES. New goal: get over x-amount in the bank account and I can spend a max of 5k in the 2yo auction with a max of 3 horses. Beyond that, nothing. Absolutely nothing.

Five went out, came home with six, two wins, and a third. Not bad! So far we’ve had a win every day we’ve raced, and I probably went and jinxed it all by mentioning that.

I don’t know why I didn’t put him over the hurdles as a three year old and am seriously regretting it now, but [color=blue]Raising Witnesses lived up to his pedigree (Witness x Moonopolize) with a darn good win in an 8.5f NW1.

The other winner is our new horse [color=red]Spice Spice Baby in a 6.5f claimer on turf. She’s won twice this year under FF management on two different surfaces as a five year old so she’s still got some fighting spirit left in her. She’s also a Laird baby and perfect for my home stud.

Running third in her race is [color=red]Rahy On The Rocks in a 7f maiden on turf. I guess she’ll be sticking to the green. Hopefully we’ll find better races for her so that she can break her maiden.

The others aren’t much to write home about (finishing dead last in their races is no small feat in and of itself, lol) and some of them are coming home for an overdue vacay.

FINALLY had a better day (sorta). Sent 11 out, 7 on the board and came home with a 12th

Wins
[color=blue]Naval Commander (3yo, I’m Your Angel) had his first stakes win in the Paumonok Handicap. i’ve got high hopes for this boy, hopefully he keeps it up!

[color=red]Red Fox (5yo, Gallant Fox) has her first stakes win in the Busanda Stakes. I thought she might slow down as a 5yo, seems she has sped up!

Places
[color=blue]Alister (3yo, Octagonal) in a NW3 allowance, it was a large field and his first placing this year, i’m pleased

[color=blue]Face The First (3yo, I’m Your Angel) in a NW3 allowance. We threw him on dirt after some poor turf placements, he seems to like it

4ths
[color=red]Desert Mirage (3yo, Point Given) over jumps. This was her first time over jumps

[color=blue]Criminal Secret (3yo, Foolhardy) in the Paumonok Handicap. He likes running 4th… we’ll have to change that!

[color=red]Uncanny Yodel (5yo, Highland Bandit) in the Busanda Stakes. I can’t decide if I want to retire her or not… She had such a great 4yo year… Maybe a few more starts, we’ll see

Exciting and disappointing all in one.

[color=red]Ch. Eloquence ran in 8.0f Ungr. Busanda Stakes for 4yo+ F/M (SC) and placed 2nd/13. Very happy with this! Makes her mult. stakes placed.

[color=blue]GoToThe Devil ran in 10.0f Allowance for 3yo+ (SC) and placed 4th/14.

[color=blue]Ch. Alfresco ran in 6.0f Ungr. Paumonok Handicap for 3yo (D) and placed 6th/13. This is his first placing under 4th. Of course, I’m still very proud of him. Everyone has bad days!

Sent out 13 runners today.

With [color=blue]G.Ch. AndLikeThatHesGone’s win today, we now have four horses that need just one more SW to become Stud-Qualified.

Yay! After a month of not even placing on the boards, all four boys out took home money!

[color=blue]Kanaka Maoli and [color=blue]October Glory took 1st and 2nd in their allowance, [color=red]Gone Flying took took a 2nd, and[color=blue] Political Crisis finally broke his maiden! Looks like my boys are back!

Lewis I hope Cup O’ Tea gets that last stakes win for you! I would breed to him just for his name! Ok… He is pretty talented to :wink:
