1/2

We’re tentatively trying a new method of entering races this year (also known as: enter all the races! race all the ponies!). So far it seems to be working.

Since we ran 41 ponies, and 37 of them managed to come home in the top 4, we’ll just go race by race.

#2: Maiden
[color=red]Dressed To Impress (3yo, No Duplicate) won her third lifetime start.
[color=red]Devilinthedetails (3yo, Devil His Due) was third, a solid effort.

#4: NW1
[color=blue]Macbeth (3yo, Prince of Wonder) was second.
[color=blue]Lovemeorleaveme (3yo, Alley Cat) was 6th.

#8: NW2
[color=blue]Summer Vacation (3yo, Take Me Away) was 3rd.
[color=blue]Atlantic City (3yo, Foolhardy) was 4th in his first try at turf.

#10: NW2
[color=red]Spread the News (3yo, All Jazzed Up) won, her second win in a row.
[color=red]Sunlight Spell (3yo, Seattle Sorcerer) was 2nd, for her second placing in a row.

[color=red]Claire de Lune (3yo, Highland Laird) was 3rd.

Sent out 8 runners today

1 Win
[color=red]Ch. American Dance, (4yo, Almost Home x Northern Sister) 1/10 in the Ung El Conejo Handicap at Santa Anita. Continuing where she left off from last year with her fourth win in a row, her first SW. Earned her Champion status with this win.

2 Seconds
[color=blue]Ch. Keyboard, (4yo, War Chant x Lady of Mystery) 2/10 in the G2 Premier Stakes in Australia.
[color=blue]Ch. Londesborough Boy, (4yo, Lasting Spirit x Painted Desert) 2/10 in the G2 J.J. Liston Stakes in Australia. Earned his Champion status with this second.

1 Third
[color=red]Sand Dune, (3yo, Giant’s Causeway x Dayatthebeach) 3/10 in the G3 Appleton Handicap at Gulfstream.

Also Ran
[color=blue]Secano, (3yo, Sneak Peek x In Due Time) 5/8 in an NW2 at Gulfstream. For Sale.
[color=red]Tshotsholoza, (4yo, Moonopoly x Play Those Tunes) 6/10 in the Ung Ruthless Stakes at Aqueduct. For Sale.
[color=blue]Ch. Major’s Insight, (6yo, Major’s Flight x Highland Sage) 6/10 in the Ung Spectacular Bid Stakes at Gulfstream. For Sale.
[color=blue]Contristo (Leased), (4yo, Stressed x Las Vegas Jitters) 8/8 in an OA in Australia.

Well today was a TOTAL flop except for my stakes ponies… My regulars forgot how to run  Sent 8 out, came home with 9, only 2 one the board…

[color=blue]Sunday Paper (5yo, Sunday Silence) WON his first start of the year in the Spectacular Bid Stakes, soo pleased with him!

[color=red]Careless Whisper (5yo, Alydar) ran 2nd behind Sunday Paper in the Spectacular Bid Stakes. Can’t ask for better then that! She is also now a GCh.

We claimed [color=red]Firey Dancer who ran 5th, because of her dam who is gold ranked Calypso. Picked her up for $10,000

Wow, some of you have a lot of ponies!
Clicker Lab entered the new year with six runners and I’m happy about all of them. Fortunately the claimers didn’t get claimed.

[color=red]Embellished, now 4yo mare, finished 1st/7 in her open allowance for girls. I had to wait really long for her to mature, and I’m expecting that this will be her good year.

[color=red]Hadriana, now 3yo, finished 1st/6 in her NW2 allowance. She’s another one that was testing my patience, but I do like her and I believe she’ll improve this year. She won easily by 2 1/2 lengths, despite not the best odds.

[color=blue]Sugarbird, now 3yo colt by GCh. My Lucky Day (S), finished 2nd/11 in his claimer. I hope that he’ll try to earn some more wins this year.

3yo [color=red]Gentle Charlotte (by ICh. Stressed) finished 2nd/9 in her claimer. She was lightly raced so far.

[color=red]She’s Outlawed, our NCh. Robin Hood filly bred by Vaucluse Farms, entered the year with a 4th/10 place in open allowance for 3yo fillies.

[color=red]GCh. The Woman In Black, now 5yo, finished 3rd/10 in ungraded Ruthless Stakes (steeplechase), running without a whip.

Too lazy to do a big write-up  ???

26(3)-5(1)-7-3-4(1) $199,150

Only ones I feel like mentioning are a couple of my girls

[color=red]Belle Esprit walked it in by 10 lengths in a SC Allowance, although she is 5 this year being a create I think she might be just gearing up. I got this lady super cheap, she had been a total flop as a 2/3yr old. I was the first to race her as 4yr old and she has now won 4 out of 5 for me, excellent

[color=red]Ch. GoWithYourHeart earned her Ch today by winning the 5.5f Dirt Ungr. Survive Stakes for 4yo+ F. I originally purchased this girl as a Broodmare because I love her breeding Omaha x Showgirl (RDC) but I think we can put that off a little longer

Sweet stats Shanthi!  :astonished:

Thanks! I’m sure it won’t last. Nice while it does, though.

We had two out today:

[color=red]Bluebook went out in a NW1 and managed to squeeze into second. I was very surprised, seeing as her previous race record was 8-0-0-0-1 and I just threw her in so she would race. She seems to be improving though, so hopefully she keeps it up.

[color=red]Anan Creek was in the same race and continues her third place streak for a third race ::)

I only sent out 4, but with that many Stillwater ponies to have to face, that’s probably for the best!
Too bad our OTB percentage so far for the year can’t last! After this race day, we have 50% win, 50% place.

[color=blue]Zadar (3yo homebred, What’s Your Point) won his NW2.  He’s never been less than 4th, though he’s only started 4 times.  I think he’s going to do well this year.

[color=red]Ch. Nicole’s Majic (3yo, A.P. Indy) won her OA.  This stakes winning filly has been incredibly consistent, so I’m glad to see her continuing that into her 3yo year.

[color=red]Ch. Oh So Proud (5yo homebred, Highland Pride) finished 2nd in her OA.  She will probably start a time or two more, then retire to brood if nothing major happens.  This MSW/speed record holder has already proven herself, but I want to make sure she’s ready to retire first.

[color=red]With A Fleurish (4yo homebred, Gimme A Shot) finished 2nd in the ungraded El Conejo Handicap.  She’s been doing pretty well, and I’d like that to continue through 2017 before considering retirement.

Only one today.

[color=blue]Bold Dreams ran in 5.5f Turf Ungr. El Conejo Handicap for 4yo+ and placed 4th/10. Not bad for an old guy! If he declines this year, he’ll be retired.
