Have to admire her hard-knocking race career (4 wins and 12 starts in the top 4 from 26 attempts, mostly under FF management). Plus she’s half-sister to gold-ranked MSW Set the Sails. She’s been retired and will visit Frankel later this spring. That was probably the highlight of our raceday, frankly. :wink:

[color=red]Belle Esprit in a steeple OA. This is her 4th win from 5 starts. Wanna go stakes but for some reason her SF’s are always terrible

[color=blue]Oh So Famous in an OA. He is a lease and a late bloomer. I expect to make good money from him before he goes home

[color=red]Lady Morgaine also a lease just found her right equips and made it two in a row in a NW2

[color=blue]Finn MacCool another lease heh in a NW2. His mother is hold ranked and he won by 2 3/4 so my hopes are high

[color=blue]Back to December surprised me and won his first ever start, being 3 this is good as I’m pretty sure horses with no experience cop a slight penalty. A NW3

[color=red]Celtic Lore also surprised and won her NW1. Her only placing in 6 starts

Three out, two were also rans albeit in very closely run affair.

Only highlight was [color=red]Send Me Flowers (5yo Sadlers Wells) making her seasonal debut and finishing 1st in her OA. I’d love her to keep this form up for the rest of the year.

Well done on the claim Shanthi I was tossing up between her and the one I did get Rosmund Eleanor, dam is platinum ranked so fingers crossed! Would have liked to take both home though lol

I’ve been MIA for a couple of days, so only 3 ponies went out, and clearly, they missed the ‘win’ memo.

[color=red]Foxy Ruby (6yo, Gallant Fox) finished second in her OA.  I purchased her solely as a future brood, as a stakes placed daughter of a gold mare.  She’s at 88 points - I set a goal for her to hit 100/champion title before retiring.  C’mon, lady!  Time’s tickin’.  We might just have to skip that step, which would be a shame.

[color=red]Hawaiian Ice (5yo, Bold Ruler) finished third in her OA.  She’s another near-brood that I am trying to run a bit more before retiring.  Seeing those 2YOs in training, though, is reminding me why it would be better to retire, especially without convincing wins.

[color=red]Ciao Bella (4yo, Alley Cat) finished 4th in the G2 San Marcos Stakes behind 3 very worthy colts.  Not bad.

Super ouch day on my end. I took home my claim but I was really hoping Jade River would do better and win enough to cover that claim. Guess not!

[color=green]Celebroch ran 2nd/8 in a 15k claimer and stays home.
[color=green]To Alaska made his 2017 debut with a 3rd/10 in his OA.

Biggest disappointment was [color=blue]Jade River’s 8th/10 in the G1 Manikato Stakes. He had won an ungraded last time out; maybe it was just too huge of a jump in class. We’ll send him back to ungraded/OA’s.

I may have to finally accept a few retirements. [color=red]Belfast Belle has been going downhill since last fall and despite vacation time, has not bounced back. She ran dead last of 13 today. At 5, I think I’ll look into claimers for her rather than keep for breeding.
[color=red]Crack the Bell is another possible-retire; she was a MSW at 2 but has never reclaimed her form. She did manage a 2nd in an ungraded last year but she’s been in steady decline since last April. I’ll give her 1-2 last shots and if no go, she’ll join the broodmare band.

[color=red]Whats Believeable, (4yo, What’s Debatable x By By Birdie) 1/14 in an OA at Gulfstream. She was switched to Steeplechasing part way through last year and seems to have adapted to it quite well. Might try her in a Stakes race soon.
[color=blue]Ch. Lohan, (4yo, My Lucky Day x Thinking of Dreams) 1/10 in the G2 San Marcos Stakes at Santa Anita. 5th win (plus 2 seconds) in his 8 races in our colors, also his 3rd SW.
[color=blue]Bracton, (3yo, Rumor Has It x Lady of Honour) 1/10 in the G3 Roman Consul Stakes in Australia. His 2nd consecutive win and 1st SW.

[color=red]Ch. Giant’s Debate, (4yo, Giant’s Causeway x Time’s Debatable) 6/13 in the G2 El Encino Stakes at Santa Anita. Beaten by 4 Heads and a Neck in a blanket finish.
[color=red]Ch. Unbridled Run, (4yo, Strider x Unbridled Passion) 5/10 in the G1 Manikato Stakes in Australia. Beaten by 2 Heads and about 1 length by three Millionaires+.

In addition, we claimed [color=red]Helena from Final Furlong after she won her Claimer.

On the other hand, [color=blue]A Charming Man made in two in a row with a frontrunning victory in a 10f NW1 on dirt. SF is on the low end but that’s okay, I’m just happy a bunch of my horses are finally starting to blossom.

Finally we had a good day, only sent 3 out since a number of our horses are on ‘holidays’

[color=red]Gallant Strike (3yo, Smart Strike) broke her maiden today with a win on SC, yay! I’m glad I switched her over to SC sooner rather then later, jump trials definitely helped in this department

[color=blue]Adena Brave (4yo, Boldness Shows) won his start on SC, very pleased with this. We just recently switched him to SC and he seems to enjoy it

[color=red]All Revved Up (3yo, All Jazzed Up) ran 3rd in a $25,000 claimer, she wasn’t claimed. This was her first time on the board, hopefully she can keep it up

[color=red]La Femme Nikita ran in 5.5f NW1 Allowance for 4yo+ F/M (T) and placed 1st/6. This is her year!

[color=red]She’s Gawne ran in 8.0f NW2 Allowance for 3yo+ (SC) and placed 6th/9. Not a great start to the year…

Been having a few good weeks at the stable, which is nice for a change.  Using the Shanthi philiosophy of enter every race possible with A energy horses along with stakes races when I think the horse is ready.
